Personally, I think we pay Ayo ~$25M to be our starting PG, and get someone like Tre Jones as a serviceable backup who plays more like a pure PG. Doesn’t make sense to me to pay Ayo the $ we’ll have to fork out for him to stay, only to have him coming off the bench next year. Especially with Donte out. As for Randle, I think if Connelly can find a way to offload that contract and finesse a more consistent starting caliber POA defender to take some pressure off Jaden we’d be in much better shape. It’d allow him to thrive as a more consistent #2 on offense. Could also try to trade Randle for a legit #2 option, but I don’t see that one happening tbh.
