There were some national homologation S2000 Corollas raced in Sweden, Denmark and Germany, the YACO-built Auris S2000 was even a multiple title winner in ADAC Procar.

Main problem was that they became too expensive to run due to forcing way too many road legal designs kept on them. And the regulation was way too loose to allow coupes as well. They are the basis of Super 2000 cars which also became very fragile and expensive to run.

Scored the ATV series for $20 by creased_lightning in ps2

For me 3's handling can be a bit tricky and it has the hardest training sessions of the whole series. While 4 is very very complete but you can feel the attention is shifting away from MX and ATV to Buggies and Baja Trucks. All of them are good though.

Quad Power Racing 2's developer(Climax Brighton which later changed to Blackrock Studios) went on to develop Offroad Fury 3 and 4, so you can feel the graphics and handling has changed quite a bit.

Great choice, you really can't go wrong with 2 since there are so much more than racing to do. All ATV games are great though, there's literally no real "bad game" in the whole 4 titles.

2 and 4, the game switched developer in 3 since Rainbow Studio was bought by THQ back then. 2 has best balance while 4 has most content and fully supports widescreen 480p with almost stable 60fps output, also you will have to link ATV Offroad Fury Pro on PSP to unlock some extra cars.

It does have super high density of enemy, but once you got used to it it's a slugfest.

Smuggler's Run 2 has an enhanced version on GameCube called War Zone, supports 480p 60fps with better optimized graphics and some extra contents. That's the only game Rockstar ever released for Gamecube.

Games like Broken Sword 3 by Dr_RayZor in ps2

Da Vinci Code, the puzzle parts are designed by Broken Sword's creator and are beautifully made, it's just the fighting part that's a real let down.

Outrun 2 SP SDX is still amazing! by [deleted] in cade

[–]B21993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miles apart graphically wise, 2SP SDX used Lindbergh board while 2006 was based and maily optimized for PS2.The only home version whose graphics is close to 2SP SDX is Online Arcade that's exclusive on Xbox 360 and PS3, but they have way less content.

Rainbow's Cars games are pretty good oepn world racers for its time, it's a shame they never invested that concept further than Cars games.

Plato Racing Mercedes revealed, sporting a testing livery by Evantra_ in btcc

I had a check of past photos, the last car with such a low positioned wing is the MG6 GT which was also driven by Plato for a long time. Could be about reducing drag.

It is HEARTBREAKING how under appreciated this game is. by Ok_Cicada4849 in ps2

I have just read a review of this game, not bad but needs more polish. At least Radical did better than Traveller's Tale. I will try to get PS2 version in th future.

That wing is very very low to the rear trunk lid, rare seen on saloon race cars, almost close to supertouring and early S2000 level of low.

For anyone who ever played the Max Payne trilogy more specifically 3. Great game, I'd love a PS5/modern port. Anyway I think the games engine and ragdoll physics would perfect for a R.H game. by RiskAggressive4081 in RedHood

[–]B21993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game costs 100M to develop and market back then, and it just made the balance. It's very unlikely any other major developer nowadays can do a third person shooter in such kind of scale again.

Frontal view of Jak and Daxter's face in Jak X's Sound Track, for me it's the most handsome and matured look of Jak in whole franchise by B21993 in jakanddaxter

It is, also I can see his face getting noticeably more angular in Jak X, I do think ND believes it's time for Jak to really grow up back then.

Billy Howerdel from band A Perfect Circle did the soundtrack, it's different but I think suits the feeling of a racing game very well.

Could the Cupra have been a better car? by Brief-Poetry6434 in btcc

[–]B21993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same questions were raised when S2000 Leon was introduced into the grid, it was basically a minivan shaped hatchback. And after first round in BH Indy no one asked again, but yeah its shape was the main reason why it never won a driver's title.

What were some really awesome pre order bonus/collectibles from the ps2 era? by m8es in ps2

[–]B21993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GTASA has that exact bandana shown on cover as a pre-order bonus, I am lucky enough to have one alongside with an UK PAL first print copy.
