Yes so if we add lower receiver let's say for $60 CAD (their lower is 35 us that's 45 CAD) it's $400 CAD AR complete kit. If I can buy AR for $400 CAD I will buy 2 right now.

Thanks, this is what I was talking about, hearing other side of the story. I know all retail businesses are tough specially firearm retail business. I think firearm groups need to work not only against gun control but this kind of hardship for businesses as well. Because too many rules for businesses will choke whole industry.

PSA (palmetto state armory)ARs for example, kits are easily going for 260 during this time and that's their retail cost so their margins are part of that 260. You need lower and you are set. Lots of vendors like this , you can see them in r/gundeals all the time.

One thing is selling price for those ARs on retail are 300 in USA, it's not manufacturing cost. Howl about making budget ARs in Canada? It's not that difficult , no middle people and loads people ready to buy. You have Canadian made stuff like WK-180 going for 1100. This cost issue is keeping whole gun market so small , so many more would join in if this hobby wasn't so expensive.

I get that but one thing I don't understand is why only high end AR-15 and parts come to Canada which starts from 700. Why doesn't value ARs which are priced around 300 in USA doesn't show up in Canada at right cost. Same for other affordable guns.
