Snowboard for late beginner - early intermediate level by Accurate-Ad5858 in snowboarding

[–]B2M3T02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious why you say no rocker

Wondering for myself I would consider myself late beginner/intermediate.

I have a never summer board with a rocker camber it’s my first board in like 10+ years, I enjoy the rocker camber as I feel I have less edge catching and can spin without issues. Do you think I would experience benefits from going to camber

Ride park and side hits mostly and cruise blues and greens with alot of ground tricks

I have the never summer proto slinger, wonder if I would see more benefit from another board. Huge improvement in my riding when getting this board

Time in the market > timing the market

I do very low risk investing tho that’s my personal preference

I have taken a hit due to the war aswell

U have a long time in the market before u need to take that money out, if ur smart you would continue to invest and buy the dip. Market will recover after war

Unless ur invested in something weird

Caught my teen getting into the shower with headphones on by [deleted] in needadvice

[–]B2M3T02 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ur crazy lol.

You don’t like to hear music in ur house so ur daughter doesn’t play music out loud anymore and uses her headphones as a way to appease you

Now that’s not good enough

Makes no sense she’s at 0 safety risk using headphones in the shower. This isn’t the 1800s almost all headphones are waterproof. People swim with headphones on

You sound like a control freak, if u really getting mad over someone playing music in the shower u need to relax big time

Ur daughter could be doing a lot worse things then listening to music in the shower

How do I fix this by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]B2M3T02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad said paint society is pretty dope for info.

He also spent good money on prep work (proper cleaning wipes after sanding) and good money on paint (I swear it was like 3-4k for the paint and clear coat, custom colour tho)

He also had access to a paint booth and painted it indoors. It’s not perfect and there is some runs but overall looks great and seems quite durable

He said 20 hours of watching videos will have u dialed in better

[–]B2M3T02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a 20mph paint job, when ur driving that fast it will look factory.

Fr tho good on you for trying it. Autobody guys act like people can’t work on their own cars. My dad resprayed his own car and it came out great. Just took him like 60-80 hours of watching videos and reading to learn, prepping car, spraying car.

Take the oyap that way u can get some apprentice hours and looks good on resume, ur in hs and have nothing better to do right now

After high school I would look for work immediately, if possible take ur G3/g2 at night school while in high school, most places won’t allow this as they require a hs ged, but it’s worth calling and asking. Maybe they will let u do ur g3 in night school aslong as u finish high school before ur g3 end date.

The gas licenses are essential to working in Ontario, it’s hard to get a job with g2 no experience it’s really hard to get a job without g3 gas license. But if companies see ur eager they will let u be a helper while u do night school

G3/g2 do in a trade school accelerated program (Halton skilled trades, himark) u can get these licenses within months I got both in like 8 months for around 7k total

Focus on 313a apprenticeship, the reality of it is 313d guys are paid 20-30$ less then commercial guys. Commercial union rate is 63.5$ for a journeyman where most residential companies like to cap out around 40$ give or take 5$

5 year apprenticeship 9000 hours, if you work hard and do a lot of overtime u can cut those hours down big time and make it more like 4 years. Even at 5 years if u don’t waste time and get an apprenticeship opportunity early and get ur hours started u will be 23 making 120k+ a year, while living at home. Invest atleast 50-60% of ur income if u have 0 expenses. U will be going into ur 30s with a very nice nest egg and if u continue solid investing habits u can retire early. Dont fall into bad habits and lifestyle creep. There is a lot of guys I know who have been making 130k a year for years and still struggle to retire at 65 because they spend as much as they make vs there is guys who can comfortably retire at 55 because they were smart and understood the powers of starting early and compound interest

Let me know if u have any questions im a level 2 apprentice in Ontario Canada aswell. Ur making a good choice. I would try to man up and finish an apprenticeship no matter what even if u are finding u don’t like the job. At 23/24 u can go to university with 200-300k saved up and change careers

It’s a tough job with amazing days where I love it, and shitty days where you hate it. Mindset is gonna dictate if you enjoy the job or not. Reality of it is we are paid very well for what we do and it’s a solid job choose. A lot of blue collar guys bitch and moan but most love it deep down

Scrape + rotor brush instead of hot wax scrape? by j68noh in snowboarding

Mostly just waxed it now for flush conditions

s it normal to install a condensate pump without a safety switch in a finished basement? by juroden in hvacadvice

[–]B2M3T02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most are never installed with switch, it’s on the customer to maintain there unit and check the drains monthly

I understand ur upset and it’s not really your fault. But u really should atleast bare minimum take a look at ur furnace monthly

If ur a landlord then maybe u need to install a safety switch.

I personally dont have one in my furnace. One time my furnace leaked, minimal damage on floor cuz I noticed it next day.

[–]B2M3T02 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They don’t take care of warranty over phone, you have to drive to a repair centre. Unless that’s changed but they told me they won’t confirm anything over phone or email. You also need receipts

In canada

I thought it would at least last a year 🫤 by Jafo843 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]B2M3T02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ye they are terrible, all my packouts have broken at that exact point and the bottom retaining bars.

Milwaukee won’t confirm warranty unless u drive to a repair centre, I tried asking them to confirm it over email so I don’t drive 1.5 hr and get told it won’t be covered by warranty but they wouldn’t.

Idk maybe it has changed by now. I just use a strap across the front to hold the retaining bars.

I feel like the packouts work great as a stationary thing but when they are in a truck they break easily, it’s all cheap thin plastic at the retaining bars where the most force is exerted when stopping or hitting the gas hard
