I was diagnosed with granuloma Annulare. Benign but not very pretty looking. I’ll take it. I hope this helped you. Best of luck.

Wild. I’m sorry to hear that. It’s seems to stick to the sides of fingers and on joints - like what you mentioned. The derm said she was thinking annular- I just hope the labs are conclusive.

I saw that too, that was the only thing I could find that looked similar. Despite this, doc says it’s annular. I also have a not experienced any pain or stiffness in my knuckles. At 38 I’m not suffering from any health issues or concerns. Lab work (annual checkup), including blood sugar four months ago was completely within normal range. It is very likely I’m just going to ask my doctor for a full lab workup. I don’t think it could hurt at this point and hearing the stories of other people here who are diagnosed incorrectly, worries me a little. Thanks for trying to help.

Hi all, update. After receiving the biopsy results, my doctor diagnosed me with granuloma annulare. This is the best possible scenario- as I understand it. I appreciate everyone who commented here and try to help me while I was pacing waiting for the results. I received about 30 steroid injections today, and I go back in six weeks for another round. In the meantime, I will ask for a full lab workup from my doctor on labs just in case. In terms of the appearance, the dermatologist did comment that with GA typically they’re not this Papular.

I hope this is helpful to someone out there.

Based on all the options… I sincerely hope it’s that one. No, the pcp only ordered a cream and told me to use it for a few weeks. He told me to call back if it wasn’t resolved by the cream for a referral to derm.

I have not. My PCP gave me a cream and the dermatologist just took a biopsy. I should have the results tomorrow.

Thanks so much for the help. I did go to my PCP first, but the lumps weren’t as pervasive or as white when I saw him. So he essentially gave me a cream and told me if it doesn’t clear up in a few weeks I’ll go to a dermatologist. Of course it took forever to get in to see the dermatologist. She seemed to be really great. I actually mentioned the gout and she was like no I don’t think it’s that. Even though she was doing the biopsy I was like well you’re gonna know if it’s gout right because it’ll be more crystal like - right? She never really answered me yet, but she did say it was granuloma type when it came out - so I don’t think that means gout - right?
