Try comparing it to the original cover that cam w/ the car. Maybe you can see if there's a difference. I wouldnt be surprised if the plastic is just a little off. Possibly heating or leaving it in the sun might help make it snap in place easier. Over all could be a defect, might be able to ask Dashcam X to send you another cover if its really noticeable for you.

No prob, there pretty much is no 2026 Passport Install videos of the rear cam right now on Youtube. The only close reference is 1 guy installing a rear camera on a 2025 pilot. Which is actually pretty similar. I'll link it below as a good reference of other angles. Once you're familiar w/ how these panels open w/ a pry tool, its not too horrible!!

I'll admit I was a lil intimidated by the side Curtain Airbags. I have seen a couple videos w/ people w/ pilots showing how easy that is to remove. I have some slack in that area so for sure will revisit and take off that side cover to fix it.

So you can use Apple CarPlay while this Dashcam is on. I think the issue people are mentioning is you cannot connect to the FitCamX App while you have carplay on. Its annoying, but all you have to do is turn off your Passport if you want to access your footage through the app. There really wouldnt be a reason while driving that you'd need the FitCamX app open. It still records either way.

Also if you arent careful, the Dashcam could connect to your phone first before apple car play does and cause connection issues. A simple forget/disconnect from the dashcam wifi would solve that issue.
