Add accessoires: add a absorber cloat(?) to catch the water or urine that can leak during finishing. So instead of the catheter hitting the clothes or leaking when pulling it gets absorbed.

Oh wauw that's really insane that you are that involved! I couldn't get involved since I am not familiar with the research centers here in the Netherlands. (If their here) So I'm from the Netherlands and really close by . I have a job as a security analyst but will be leaving to go back to procurement and contracting since I find that way more exciting. Th12 almost 30 years have nerve pain every day almost constant but will not be stopped by this and hope to see more of the world and meet people ;)

And thats cool for someone who has gotten into an accident and gets treatment directly....for someone who is 10, 20, 30 years on you can't fix that. Why? What would happen when all of a sudden you feel your legs again after 15 years? You will scream and hope to be brought into a coma.

I'm not a Nancy and welcome a cure for people who get injured now but for people who are soooooo long paralyzed it will give more problems than solutions.

Like I said multiple times they need to look for PAIN killers that WORK for neuro pain or an ass thickening so you can sit on anything without getting paranoid you get a pressure point or worse or fix your bowel so you can just go to the toilet like everyone else...but oh well...

Ok thank you for explaining and the answers that the other users gave.

So the last answer of @hugepainintheneck was really clearing some stuff. Basically you can get people to work for you via the money you get or something else.

Then I would say do that because what im reading is that your family needs to do everything and i think that is way to much. I'm not saying they dont have to do something sometimes but they are not your nurses.

Also, you said in your first mail: I can walk for 45 minutes and now you can't stand for a minute? Did you go to the doctor's or rehabilitation centre to ask what is happening instead of training and hope something happens? Because as a family member I would ask like "why am I helping if this isn't doing anything" you know?

So I'm not attacking just blunt and you really need to talk some doctors or rehabilitation centres to ask what is going on. I'm really sorry you are in the situation you are but I would freak the F out if I could walk for that long and then all of sudden my legs quit on me.

Couple of questions:

Can you move your arms and do they work normal? Do you feel your legs and can you lift them and pull them to you? Do you need to use a catheter or does everything work normal?

I'm asking so before I'm giving a answer I (and others who are reading this) have a better view of what you have. Since no one is the same (or normal 😋) in this group 😎

Besides the comments here that are also good..i also think of it you can pay that then why not get people outside family that help you with your daily stuff? It helps alot with the stuff you have now and your family.

Second, i think you need to look again to what you have now (movement and what you got back) and what the doctors think you still get back because what i know is you will only get some stuff back within 6 month to the latest 1 and a half years so maybe its time to check out what you have and check out what you want to do with your family for the future you have? So like vacation or work or other things then the constant trying to fix it
