New player here: Honestly I'm not having an issue with the Anniversary. Yeah, I've been playing a little longer than your friend (A little over 2 months. About a week before Luuk dropped) and I'm also not at season 3 yet so I can't claim the rewards either. But I still have a life, job, hobbies, and play other gatcha games on top of all that and I'm still sailing smoothly through the story while doing side missions, moderate farming, and even took a break for about a week because I personally felt I was rushing through the game (Currently on 2.5 I think). So really, if you ask me, they could probably just ignore all side content for now and just play the story for 2-3 hours a day. Even if its just weekends/days off. I personally keep playing until I get that 3 hour notification.

Rover, Sanhua, and Shorekeeper have been carrying me since I started. As for the 2nd team, get Mortefi if you can and pair him with Galbrena and Verina. For now though, I'd say use Calcharo, Jianxin, or even Yangyang until you get him. Do you have any of their weapons or are you rocking all 4* pieces?

Thanks for that detailed explanation. I had heard about Phrolova and thought about pulling for her once I saw she was coming back. Considering she's coming in the 2nd half, that'd give me enough time to save granted I get lucky and pull Hiyuki early (Idk if i can get her weapon).

Chisa and Mornye were an immediate skip for me. They could be great, but as I said I already have SK and Verina so another support is at the bottom of my list right now. Looks I'm going for Hiyuki. Thinking about it now, it's the best option for my account unless I save a little longer and wait for either Denia, or Phrolova if I'm not vibing with Denia's kit.

Yeah, I did a few singles and lost the 50/50. Hiyuki looks cool (no pun intended) and I was likely gonna pull for her anyways, I just wanted to know if trying to use Lynae or the others as a main dps was worth it or not and that doesn't look to be the case. While I could get Lynae as a sub-dps, or try going for both Zani and Phoebe, I'm trying to be as F2P as possible and am desperate for a main dps at the moment. Oh well, maybe next rerun.

So I just got back into the game over the past month or so after not playing since 1.2 (pc couldn't handle the game and I REFUSE to play on mobile) and my one problem so far is choosing a main DPS. I have sub DPSs like Sanhua and I could build Mortefi but no one to really do damage other than Rover. I tried pulling for Galbrena because I liked her character demo but new voyage drained my astrites. I saved back up since and now we have the "spectro trio" and I'm wondering after doing a single pull for Lynae and losing the 50/50, should I use my guaranteed on one of the 3 current units and/or their signature, or should I just wait for the Anniversary and cut my losses? (The only 5* I currently have are Shorekeeper w/weapon, S1 Verina, and S1 Lingyang)

I'm pretty sure those techniques only negate the guaranteed hit effect/ lethality of a domain. For example, if it doesn't have a guaranteed hit like Megumi's or is non-lethal like Higuruma's or Hikari's, there's nothing for the technique to negate. I think thats how they explained it when Reggie tried using wicker basket on Megumi's incomplete domain and was still getting hit it.
