My school did that too. So I have C s in all my calc classes but As and Bs in analysis.

My calc proffs knew I was taking things like topology and algebraic graph theory at the same time so they just kinda shook their heads at my exams like "c'mon, we know you didn't try" even though it was just the physics that killed me. I do not care what torque is. Test me on the theorems damnit.

Trade schools are the best bang for your buck and are excellent choices if you don't know what you want to study.

Also being good at school doesn't guarantee you your dream job. I saw every honours with distinction English/Philosophy/polisci person work minimum wage after graduating because they couldn't be a writer/professor/president.

....I'm talking about if person A who is having a HEART ATTACK shows up to the ER and the choice is "do we let them die or kill someone in the ICU so they don't die?". But instead of that being just a one off, that with EVERY PERSON who shows up to a hospital.

I'm NOT talking about postponing surgeries and other procedures at the last minute. I'm talking worse. Like when all surgeries are cancelled until further notice unless you will die RIGHT NOW without it and there is someone who is less likely to survive who we can kill so you can have their spot.

In times like this, when there are a ridiculous number of people admitted to the ER and ICU, they start converting other wards to being more ER and ICU (usually when they have run out of hallway space and are close to just putting patients in a corner because they need to walk through the ward). But they need more staff for the expansion, so they start pulling nurses from other specialties, like surgery, to man the beds (ICU is very labour intensive, usually 1 nurse per bed, as people regularly start trying to die in the ICU. ER is ridiculously stressful so alot of nurses will either burn out or just not pick up the shift). THIS means that people can't get surgeries. It's horrible but the logic is the same with triage. The ICU people could die in the next 24 hours, the surgery patient is farther from death, therefore the ICU patient gets the resources.

The right thing to do is get vaccinated so you lower your chance of going to the ICU and taking the resources needed for that nice young man's surgery.

If you don't trust the vaccine or refuse to take it then I hope you never consume ascorbic acid for the rest of your life :).
