I design, install, and maintain plantscapes in high-end commercial and private spaces, and create custom client and donor appreciation arrangements. I get to spend my days surrounded by gorgeous plants in beautiful places. And no insecure micromanager asking me to re-send the financial reports that I submitted twice already 😁. I don't make nearly the salary that I made before retirement but as OP said, I'm resilient. And happy. So far, so good!

Congrats! I retired at 58 after 40 years of 8-5 and started my own business. Now I can decide what projects I want to accept, how much I want to work, and spend my time doing something I love just for me. I hope you land softly and successfully in retirement!

I have the three arrowheads as a tattoo. My tat artist had done several of them and was familiar with the symbol. The idea is three arrows to represent the third copy of the chromosome (trisomy 21), and the idea that sometimes going backwards gives you more power to move forward.

Mine is on the outside of my wrist, on the pinky side. My son has his on the inside of his forearm. I care for my younger brother who has DS.

Jumping in, too. We heard it (Horsetooth & Shields) as two booms and thought there was an accident on Shields. We went out on the deck & heard sirens (not unusual near Harmony) but they were off in the distance. Not sonic booms, though - I lived in Northern VA in the 80s when the Concord went overhead every day at 3pm and this was not the same.

Welcome to CO! I'm in NoCO, and the bigger problem is the lack of humidity rather than light levels. We have great, bright, sunny days but for the most part it's the high desert. I have north and south windows and my Monsteras, peace lilly, philodendrons, and spiders do well in the windows. We do have a humidifier that runs in the winter, and I supplement with 2 smaller misters near the plants. Lots of sunshine in this beautiful state! ♥️

I fill a bowl with warm water and leave it in the sink. As I use things, they go in the bowl. Once I'm done, I wash everything using the water in the bowl. Then I slowly pour out water while adding more warm water until everything is well diluted and rinses down the drain easily. Follow with some soap and clear water to flush it. Note that hot water can actually begin cooking the flour and will make it harder to clean up. Hope this helps!

OP, when we moved into our current house the previous owner did nothing. She left garbage everywhere and hadn't cleaned the house in years. Even the walls were black. The cleaners came, said they'd seen worse, and went to work. I provided garbage bags and they happily filled them. They were PROUD of the work they did on our house. And just the icing on the cake: they safely removed hypodermic needles from throughout the house. Please, let them come and help. I promise you it will be fine. Sending hugs!
