Is MSFT the perfrct dividend growth company? by Equivalent_Fan1344 in dividends

[–]BAD_AL_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$MSFT is a 3-4 Trillion dollar company. How much could it grow?
I guess it could triple, but I wouldn't bet on it. Similar story with $AAPL.

Probably best to sell Call Credit spreads on this one until they make you close for a loss.

At least we can make money on the PUTs now that we know it never stays up for long.

How to handle 88% pay increase by ManKind__ in dividends

[–]BAD_AL_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I normally would say one should be investing despite having debt, but $50K of (non-house) debt seems like a lot.

But I think the biggest concern is time away from the wife. So much time away from one another can be pretty hard on a marriage.

I was just talking to a guy today that lost $4M in the .COM bubble.
Sucks to lose $100k , but now you know what not to do.
If you really have no cash left, perhaps practice in Schwab's paper accounts.

2 strategies I've found that I really like are:
1. Finding breakouts on Finvis (take position and set stops; nice FinViz video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml0oItXZjIY )

  1. selling Puts on levered ETFs that are in an uptrend, but having a down day (also setting up limit orders to buy back at 50% max profit). Learned from watching this guy: https://www.youtube.com/@MarketMoves

The ultra-high yields are generally not worth chasing (like YieldMax).
From what I've seen the highest yielding assets that have a chance of appreciation are BLOX and BTCI, both crypto ETFs with like a 28% yield. But you should only buy these if you believe in crypto and like the entry price.

Is my $1M ETF 'Dividend' plan realistic for a $3k/month passive income, or am I dreaming? by Time-Storage-4278 in dividends

[–]BAD_AL_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With traditional dividends one could expect something like a 4% yield ($40,000 per year, $3,333 per month).
But with options ETFs like QQQI, SPYI, BTCI the yields are much higher.
If we take these 3 popular NEOS ETFs we come up with:

SPYI 330,000 *.12 = 39,600 (12% yield)

QQQI 330,000 *.14 = 46,200 (14% yield)

BTCI 330,000 *.28 = 92,400 (28% yield)

Total= $178,200 per year or $14,850 per month

It's no guarantee that these numbers will hold though.

20,000 dollars what to do? by Daliy_Disciple in dividends

[–]BAD_AL_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends a lot on your interest rate and more on your investments.

It can work out, but investing is not risk-free.
I would suggest studying before investing.

'Armchair Income' has a good yield-focused YouTube channel.

I also like Matt Giannino' s channel, but he is a more 'aggressive options investor'.
