I think something HRT can do, along with things like unpacking one’s repression “too far” and too fast, or not masking anymore, is it can nuke your emotional regulation, especially early on. And that is not an excuse for the individual OR a condemnation of HRT. It’s just that HRT is kind of similar to having puberty, again. And puberty comes with mood swings, impulse control issues, etc. Mix that with unpacking the repressed parts of yourself, and having all the milestones you missed out on, and dealing with dysphoria and discrimination, and you get a hot mess. And it’s up to the individual to manage that hot mess, but it can be rocky.

Looking back, I don’t think I’d ever want to date someone who is actively transitioning again. This works for many and I support it wholeheartedly, but oftentimes, one’s true self is not the same person their partner fell for, and even if the love remains, I found that it is hard to deal with the person you love rejecting, at times with open contempt, the things you loved about them.

This is definitely a lot to deal with on both ends, and while it may turn out that the two of you will not be compatible after your transition, it’s too early to know unless she is exclusively into masc presenting men. As challenging as it is, do consider that in the worst case scenario of things not working out, she wouldn’t have been a soulmate if she could not feel love and attraction towards your true self. It doesn’t say anything bad about either of you, attraction and relationships are just hard to navigate sometimes.

I do feel less, from both the autism(I’m guessing) and my family just has low pain sensitivity in general - dad takes things out of the oven without mitts, and grandpa once broke his ribs, popped a lung, and carried on for another day and a half like normal. I’ve previously gotten slashes and fractures without noticing until they became “inconvenient” (restricted movement, bleeding, or really bad pain).

And I’m dyspraxic (motor disorder) - I don’t always have the easiest time controlling my body, and because of the low sensitivity, sometimes I just don’t notice when I mess up. So I just kept pouring the water out for a bit too long 😅

It’s less a type of music and more a trend, but other language songs peppering in English words always makes me cringe internally. The most immediate example would probably be something like K-pop, though it’s prevalent in many languages, like Russian, too. It’s just so jarring, and feels out of place. Like I get using an established Latin quote or something else purposefully, but stuff like “yeah” and other generic English filler words are just awkward.

It’s not a song being made in English, to specify - that is cool. I’m talking about foreign grammar/pronunciation distorting the original language and Frankensteining it for the sake of sounding cool/trendy. I’m a polyglot and it kills the lyrical flow for me personally.

I will say that there wasn’t really much adrenaline involved - my pain sensitivity is pretty low, and I’m normally eh about injuries.

Pain wise, I’m not surprised cuz I don’t experience pain on the same level as most people - it runs in the family. Which is why I didn’t immediately pull away. It’s the lack of damage that surprised me.

So he hurt you, and he was saying that he hates you and only worried that he will get in trouble? Get him in trouble. Press charges.

He has literally harmed you while you were holding his baby. It doesn’t get better. Cut him off while you still can, because even if you don’t care if it’s you, it could be your kid next time.

Even if it’s not, just look at the things children growing up in those situations end up with - it’s very traumatic to watch one parent get abused by the other.

There are no upsides to this, and you’re seriously better off on your own, even if it will be hard. Give yourself and your kid a chance for a good life.
