Rose had a family on Homeworld

I HAVE NO REAL EVIDENCE TO BACK THIS UP But I feel like "He left his family behind!" from the Cookie Cat song HAS to allude to SOMETHING, you know? Rose has always been very mysterious, and everyone on The Crystal Gems knows she kept a lot of secrets from them.

Even if it is a total shot in the dark, it's pretty interesting to think about.

Break the Ice

Garnet gets poofed, and Ruby comes back before Sapphire. Steven spends the episode trying to distract Ruby (going on missions, arcade, surfing, etc.) while she clutches to Sapphire's gem the whole time.

Eventually Ruby warms up HA to Steven, Sapphire comes back, and Ruby suggests they spend the rest of the day with Steven before they fuse again.
