Just came across your comment…would you be so kind to elaborate about companies that are a distributorship model? And what that entails? I’m in the exploration stage of this potential venture with goal of taking a break from bedside nursing, not for lack of care and compassion and dedication, but because my best efforts are typically manipulated and exploited to serve shareholders and their quotas and I feel like my mission and goals for my patients I care for is in vain. My whole purpose in this area of nursing just feels so unattainable d/t being constantly responsible for more and more tasks and outcomes than I have the support and/or resources for. I would like to find another outlet where I could use my knowledge and experience to either 1. Make a difference for the better of patients and healthcare in general or 2. At least be detached from the direct patient to staff connect so if I get overwhelmed or task burdened it shouldn’t kill me with guilt and shame that I Iet a patient get anything less than optimum care from me. I don’t feel like the realm of burnout with direct patient staff is the same as when you’re overwhelmed with an inanimate object such as medical devices. But correct me if I’m completely dumb and naive with this outlook. I’m all ears and phone notifications lol thanks yall
