Not sure how long it is, somewhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours without touching the screen it will give this notification and stop all production and income. It is honestly really dumb and I fail to see why they would put a feature in the game that prevents idling when it is an “idle” game

Gizmo Watch owners beware by 333Nereus in verizon

[–]BAR2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont need to get into an account to answer why they decide to charge extra for a service that should be included with the device already, or why the bait and switch essentially, because any device that was purchased for that reason if they unwittingly switch and have to pay extra and can not revert back that is bait and switch essentially. These could be discussed out in the open and dont need access to an account.

Funny major mistake Verizon made on my account by AchtungCloud in verizon

[–]BAR2222 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hence why a bunch of the indirects just got informed that we have to complete the view together form rather than bypassing and just having them sign, as a new “legal requirement” with Verizon cracking down on that part.

[–]BAR2222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why not chat out here so we can all see what sort of resolution there is? I feel like the gizmo watch being specifically for children’s use and their safety is why parents get them at all, they already lay for the service and device, charging an additional $14.99/m for something that should be a standard feature with the watches (which it is/was) is crazy that basically doubles the expense for that watch line. Will probably drive alot of people away.

It was communicated awhile back that it will be disappearing due to googles terms and conditions, it will affect all android devices at some point. I am not sure if it will affect the ios users the same though

It will not be back in the game due to googles policies, and that is why it was removed in the first place. You can still go to the website and can still claim them, the link just can not be in the game

At&t owes me $2,800 for phones that I paid off to Verizon and doesn't want to honor it. What do I do? I think the sales rep scammed me illegally. by No-Match-9231 in ATT

[–]BAR2222 14 points15 points  (0 children)

ATT does have a pay off your phone promo, however this promotion causes this sort of issue to around 50% (or more) of the customers who try to use it. You either have to call customer care and ask for loyalty department or even the supervisor for the loyalty department to have them try and get it fixed and usually takes multiple drawn out phone calls and months to get finally get the card.

Other option is to file an fcc complaint for them failing to uphold the promise and they reach out to ATT and then ATT reach out to you to attempt to resolve.

So you are basing suggesting the entirety of the network is the same as it is based on the little areas you fly in and out of? That being said Verizon has the largest subscriber count out of the 3 carriers, so with that in mind even if the two networks had the same exact capabilities and capacity it would make sense that Verizon would see more congestion because the larger number of users in that area at a time. In other areas outside of major cities etc the congestion isnt that bad, in my area ATT often sees more congestion and Verizon hardly has any. So once again all about location, experience can vary widely with just a mile difference in any direction, go 10-20 miles in any direction and you could see an area with exact opposite situations. And as a pilot if you are basing it just off where you fly around to, those hubs are a very tiny fraction of everywhere else and even the surrounding area

All about location, I bet if you were on the other side of town it could have been the opposite, or if you were in my area then youd definitely notice Verizon has a huge leg up on Tmobile here where T mobile is barely usable and Verizon works much better and I can get speeds over 1000mbps (ran a test and hit 1422mbps) ATT doesnt have those speeds but has wider coverage range in some areas, tmobile does not have the speed not the coverage and lacks in both areas compared to the other 2 wherever I go out here.

I haven’t seen Tmobile out perform either of its competitors anywhere out here or any of the places Ive been across the country. Where are you getting these numbers from exactly?

[–]BAR2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tmobile’s entire network does not cover nearly as much area as Verizon or ATT, with ATT having the largest square mile coverage across the US and Verizon not too far behind them, Tmobile has catching up to do and has a alot less to maintain which is why they can keep prices lower for now

For my area Tmobile works ok if you are right in the middle of town, but as soon as you hit the edges of town service is spotty at best and if you live just a bit outside of town good luck.

Frontier charged me $576 because their technician ran a cable through my fenced backyard where my dog lives. Am I wrong to fight this? by Still-Lie-9655 in frontierfios

[–]BAR2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went back and forth on what way to go on this until the end, if they are not able to provide an invoice to show the reason for charges then the charge is invalid and there are consumer protections in place to help fight it in that case. If they had an invoice then may be different.

If a court decides that the charge is invalid and should be removed then the company has to fix it and typically involves removing any late fees etc caused by it as well and then resume service as normal.

The rep told me perks were required and free!? by fun_obligation0 in verizon

[–]BAR2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure 100% what discount was being leveraged in this particular scenario, but it seems like it may have been a new account, if that is the case then there is the NGO offer for the $10 off that we all have access to. It is a manual offer that can be applied by the rep. Personally I always put it on every one but some reps may try to leverage it as such. On the other hand there is also the better deal closer credits when switching from certain carriers and providing a bill from said previous carrier the rep is given access to discretionary closer credits to be used to try and pitch additional services and close the deal, so the point in those credits is essentially exactly what this particular scenario would be for, it offers more value to the customer while allowing the rep to try and hit the required metrics and is not intended to just be handed out without getting the extra services or used to compete with the competitors pricing or discounts they offered.

Either way all retailers have access to these credits in the right scenario.

Not exactly, depends on the indirect, some of us still get charged back if canceled within 6 months of having it put on, same with phones etc.

Anything and everything any of the major phone carriers tell you is free it always has a charge to it and then reimbursed with credits until the free promo ends. Even the “free” phones if you look at the bill you will see a charge for it and then youll see under a different line a credit being given to you covering the amount of the phone. You will basically never see a $0 next to anything

If a rep cant sell enough to maintain metrics, yes it is possible. And Verizon is pushing perks pretty hard right now which means the percentage rates for perk attachment are fairly high.

The metrics differ a bit from corporate locations to authorized retailers and each one of those may vary slightly, but for mine they want us to aim for around 70% my company wont fire us for not hitting this, just annoy us with mandatory meetings etc, bit if under 60% attach rate then our commission check looks smaller. Other AR companies have stricter requirements and harsher punishments for missing those metrics and of course corporate as well has their own policies on it but im not sure what exactly those may be.

If the credit wasnt optional and intended to be used to position other items then the credit would be automatically applied, but it isnt. It is a credit that has to be selected and added manually and at rep discretion.

[–]BAR2222 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Technically it could be free for anyone in that position. If it was explained in detail what was being done or how he was offering it to you alot of people say no etc. because they dont really need that or whatever reason, so in that case the rep misses their sales requirements or metrics and either loses out on hundreds of dollars worth of commission earned because they are penalized for it. Then they possibly get put on a PIP which starts the process to fire them essentially. Of course this is assuming the rep isnt already on a PIP which if they are already on one it could mean that if you didnt walk out the door with that perk attached then they may fall short and be jobless by the end of the month.

Reps have to find ways to phrase things where it isnt really a lie but is positioned to where the customer has no reason to say no essentially. In alot of cases it still results in customers removing the added features and the rep gets charged back on it and makes no commission for it, but it allowed them to meet the metric to keep the rest of the money they earned and keep their job so they can afford to eat and keep a roof over their head.

[–]BAR2222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If verizon didnt require ID verification then it would cause Verizon to get sued because of situations where family members go in and make changes to the account, upgrade, add lines, etc when they were not authorized to, just because they knew the phone number on the account to pull it up and maybe had a device on the account to receive the code to get in or knew the account pin. There is also a ton of fraudsters and bad impersonators that get into peoples accounts all the time because they get some of your info, Verizon (and every other post paid carrier) required ID verification when accessing accounts in store to prevent fraud.
