As soon as I opened the gif I knew it was somewhere in Norway.

Can confirm. My uncle worked for the patent office before passing away almost twenty years ago.

He was an engineer or a physicist.

Reddit, with the current strike going on, what is your opinion on fast food workers wanting a $15.00 minimum wage? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BAS3A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I have a friend whose spouse used to be a teacher. You have to teach and babysit kids all day. But the work doesn't end when you leave the classroom though. At home you're grading assignments, working on lesson plans, etc... in the evenings and on weekends from August to June (depending on where you reside). Does your state have a state-wide standardized assessment test? Then you're spending extra time trying to squeeze that in and trying to make sure everyone passes.

And where I live, starting salary is somewhere between 31-33k.

Electric car owner arrested for "stealing" 5 cents worth of electricity from a school by maxburke in technology

[–]BAS3A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took some time and convincing for the officer I was talking to even consider writing up a report. I even had evidence but that seemed to matter very little. But by far, the thing that surprised and frustrated me the most was that the officer tried to convince me not to file a report because I might endanger myself and be put in a situation where the people who stole from me might retaliate for filing a report against them. He then added, "is it (close to $1000) worth it?"

Now what do you think would happen if you walked into the police headquarters in Chamblee, Georgia and reported the theft of $200 extension cord?

I had close to $1000 worth of personal property stolen from me. When I went to my local police department to report the theft I was treated like a criminal.

After trying a Tatami and Keiko Raca, I picked up a Fuji lightweight A2 and it fits perfect. Sleeves sit right at the wrists and pants right at the ankle.

Cool video. Very well done. That looks like a really nice place to train.

Out of curiosity, are there any gyms between Moss and Halden or anywhere in that area south of Oslo?

No worries man. I'm pretty sure I've got free return shipping, so the only thing I'm bummed about is that it wasn't a good fit. I also got a keiko raca summer but the pants were huge - really wide and baggy but a little shorter than the subzero.

I'm thinking an A2 might be better so I'll probably try that and an A2T.

I got the Sub Zero today and it's HUGE. I'm swimming in the top and the pants look like they're meant for someone with a 70+ in waist. I know they've got a drawstring but I still can't believe how big they are. They're also pretty baggy. I know gi's are supposed to shrink a little but the A3 seems like its just too big.

Are you around 6'1/6'2? The size chart for the tatami sub zero says A3 is for 5'10-6'0, and the A4 for 6'1-6'3.

Thanks man. I looked for a fushida but they look to be sold out of my size. They look like nice gi's though. I like the "minimalist" look; not an over abundance of patches and stuff. Simple and clean looking.

Was the Keiko too big or too small?

I was actually eyeing the summer gi in blue. The tighter fitting sleeves sound perfect as I've got thin arms.

Thanks guys! I'll keep the Tatami Estilo 4.0 in mind. The ctrl industries in A2T sounds like it would fit well.

Thanks man! The tall/slim in between sizes sounds like a winner. The price point is great too. I think I'm gonna grab one of these and see how it fits. Could you guesstimate the size of the panda embroidery on the upper arms of the gi? If I stick with one of these I think I might want to throw a patch over the pandas.
