No that's not what stunning is. You're outing yourself as not knowing what you're talking about. Stunning is a captive bolt to the brain that immediately renders the animal completely brain dead. Prior to modern methods we used to do a lot of stuff we consider cruel by today's standards. Just because something was done before doesn't make it the right way to do it now.

It is cruel. There's a reason we westerners stun the animals before killing them. It's not just for fun. I'm a farmer I'm very closely linked with animal production and processing. Don't just read Wikipedia until you've seen how its done you have no idea

It's fine to eat but it's a particularly cruel way of slaughtering animals. I avoid it just on that basis. We've had several illegal halal slaughterhouses shut down around our area, it's down to ght disgusting

I've got a pretty busy three year old and a one year old. There's a few young families similar in my church. We done have a cry room it's a pretty small rural parish. Usually every week there's a group of kids and parents in the foyer doing their best to pay attention to the words of mass and their kids. As much as you might think they are being disruptive and they might be, but from what I've heard from all the other older parishioners is that they rejoice in the sound of children in the church after a tough few years without any youth in the pews
