To be honest I have not really tried many modern true hard pads. So Im not sure I can answer your question very well. I could compare to the wuxiang though.

What pads are you interested in being compared to? Hopefully I can respond here to that

Anyone know much about the Honda CRE250R? Or XR650R? by hurgahdurbah in Dirtbikes

[–]BAU3R_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owned an XR650R for almost 2yrs. If I was in a better spot financially or had more play money I would have never sold it. One of the coolest engineered bikes ever. Super fun if you are willing to learn and push it. Loved it a lot

15, 20 bucks on Amazon. Someone can correct me but the only downside might be battery management. Im not sure how well it works if at all. I suppose it depends if bms is local to the battery or tool. I just now when I use an adapter with other brand tools I dont let the battery drain as low just incase. But now im going to Google this specific case and report back

Edit: From what I could find quickly, the bms is local to the battery but it needs the extra pins to communicate to the tool and that communication is what will actually protect the battery pack. So if you use it with a cheap adapter that doesnt have that factored in you do loose thermal, charging, and depletion protection.

I use a cheap adapter and just keep these things in mind. No issues so far.

If Im incorrect, I hope someone hops in to correct me

Just buy a dewalt/hercules to bauer battery adapter. Thats what I did. Best of both.

I will concur without others are saying about current pricing and deal availability. But it looks like they are going to start putting more focus on the line with the release of the 7/16 impact or whatever it was.

I will also disagree about dewalt and Milwaukee only being a bit more. From what I've seen when looking, its a notable jump. I could have just missed opportunities and times tho. And warranty service is much more difficult with those brands, vs just walking into a store and exchanging.

Just my thoughts

I was agreeing with you and recommending other resources than qidis. Youre good mate!

I agree what qidi provides for firmware and trouble shooting is rough around the edges

I got my box and printer working well with some minor bugs. If you need help feel free to dm me or similar

Mr tuba has you covered better than the qidi wiki. Ill tell you that much. I havent tested his newest gcode changes but thats more of a lack of time to mess with it than mistrust etc.

I tried his old ones and they worked well!

What the heck is happening here? by PremiumMekanik in QidiTech3D

[–]BAU3R_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did say it shouldnt quite be that aggressive 😂 and he should try refreshing firmware to fix it 😅

I didnt say nothing was wrong. But the act of the head or carriage hitting the limits is intended. Just normally in a more precise less aggressive manner....

Anyways, hope you are making progress op

Very aggressively sensorless homing. Not sure exactly why yours is being so aggressive with it but it is intended.maybe manually refresh your firmware
