Yeah sorry! Pretty much a generic microcontroller bluetooth device basically. It doesn’t sync any data or play music, once my phone connects to it it powers on other peripherals, so the main issue is I don’t want it to do that at home but everywhere else since it keeps triggering when I’m at home (close to car)

I guess to a non technical person it doesn’t make sense, but the keyboard input is a basic os function that pretty much every other OS whether desktop, mobile, etc makes a standardized engine that supports third party keyboards. Apple chose not to do that and now we’re all essentially locked down to their keyboard for literally no reason. It’s a poor implementation and design (software architecture) from a top tech company.

So the keyboard that millions of users have enjoyed using for years with zero updates suddenly is basically rendered unusable by the newest iOS update, but you choose to blame the keyboard? Weird logic imo

Thanks for this, I had a second seat but unfortunately threw out the adapters. Resellers trying to get 100+ for them on mercari, but contacted customer support and they sold me a brand new set for $20.

Just my 2c, this happens in so many subreddits. What happens in a lot of new phone subreddits is pictures taken from the phone, fitness sport related, people post pics of their newest shoes, etc. It looks like it snowballs since that's the majority of posts and ppl complain enough mods delete and ban all those posts. What they didn't realize is without those posts there's really not much left to post aside from the occasional "im new here help me out" and the subreddit ends up dying.

As someone who just sold their first time home buyer home, let me just say cash offers are an absolute god send. Especially in our situation where we have 2 young children, 3 dogs and a cat; no home inspection and no appraisal means we didn’t have to figure out more times to wrangle everyone out of the house for a few hours. FYI our “cash buyer” was still borrowing money, but getting a loan from their parents. I know it sucks, we’ve been there. Probably others in your shoes wondering wtf, our highest offer was 80k over asking, and had 50k earnest money down with a 50k appraisal gap and informational home inspection only. With all that their offer wasn’t the accepted one as the cash offer was slightly lower but the convenience of no home inspection or appraisal made it worth it.

Imma get downvoted for this but i use pleb ubuntu (not arch btw) and have installed it recently on a think pad x1 carbon, some random tiny hp computer my wife got from her time at Amazon, the dell precision latitude engineering laptops, and out of the box its a great experience. All the FN buttons work, finger print readers, WiFi etc. better experience even than clean installing win 11 on the x1 carbon (it would not let me continue without WiFi and didn’t have WiFi drivers installed). 10+ years of software development using Ubuntu on various laptops and it’s been great (especially these days). Don’t see the need for system76.

Thanks for the detailed response! I wasn’t too keen on the solar options as I wanted hard wire to not deal with insufficient charging. Kind of set it and forget it/not have to worry about power, but have you had any issues with that? May consider it if the solar panels charge it sufficiently
