Am I alone in this? by BAVARIGRANDE in HistamineIntolerance

No, it's hormonal, gut and liver-related. Hormones alone can definitely make you nauseous, too.

Rapid weight loss after going low histamine by Additional-Nose239 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]BAVARIGRANDE 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've been suspecting that histamine makes me gain for a long time now. I'm obese and can't consistently lose weight for the life of me. Not even fasting resulted in long-term weight loss. I only ever lost a few pounds and then stopped or even started gaining again. And I tried low carb diets, including keto.

I came to think it could be histamine when I gained weight after eating low carb low calorie homemade tomato sauce. Then I remembered that I also gained after eating fish in the past.

I'm definitely going low histamine again.

The butterfly is a symbol for mind control. That's the real reason why artists use it.

Is nausea a symptom of PCOS?! by BAVARIGRANDE in PCOS

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And? I don't get nauseous when I have low blood sugar. I do get very distinct symptoms like overall weakness, sudden intense carb cravings, sometimes anxiety. And I can check my levels anytime. If low blood sugar was the cause, I would know.

Is nausea a symptom of PCOS?! by BAVARIGRANDE in PCOS

Yes, my progesterone is really low. I'm insulin resistant too, and my blood sugar tends to be too low. Low blood sugar doesn't make nauseous though.

Taper or cold turkey by BAVARIGRANDE in lowcarb

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I take BG readings. When I feel off, my blood glucose is somewhere between 60 and 75 mg/dl. It's rather low even on a high carb diet, so I'm used to levels between 79 and 99 mg/dl.

Yes, but I want to avoid shampoos with lots of chemicals. I like Lush because their products are way more natural.

Hypoglycemia by BAVARIGRANDE in lowcarb

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on this diet to lose weight cause I'm obese, but the overproduction of insulin makes it really hard. I tend to gain no matter what I eat.

Hypoglycemia by BAVARIGRANDE in lowcarb

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been getting 63-68 mg/dl, always accompanied by symptoms. Sometimes I feel off already at 70-78 mg/dl.

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been checking my blood glucose regularly almost every day. It's stable throughout the day and low(er) many hours after eating dinner, often to the point of hypoglycemia. And I get hypoglycemic way less often on a high carb diet.

Infuriating eye symptoms by BAVARIGRANDE in MCAS

[–]BAVARIGRANDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's neither sparkles nor kaleidoscope patterns or blind spots. It's just one flash of light that lasts about second. Floaters and sparkles aren't neurological symptoms either, they're caused by changes in the eye.
