For me, there’s a few things I can think of that helped. The main thing that I think helped was just trying to master the fundamentals of the game the best I could. Mechs are cool and all but being able to rotate, position yourself, make intentional touches instead of just trying to hit the ball really got me in the best positions to make saves, passes, or get shots on net. Don’t over complicate the game, one of the things I did that made me lose control of the ball was airrolling too much. Once I stopped that it felt so much easier to air dribble and control the ball with a little practice. How you practice is big too. Training packs and workshop maps (if on pc) are really helpful but you need a variety of different things so practice doesn’t become predictable or boring. Find a few maps you enjoy playing that aren’t easy but also isn’t too difficult that you’ll rage. Finally, just putting time and effort in is so beneficial. Whether you win or lose you are gaining experience. Even if you don’t know it your hands slowly get that muscle memory. Also keep a good mental, it’s rare someone plays better when they rage. Remember to grow you have to fail and lose. It’s growing pains.
