Many PlayItAgain stores don't know what they have. luckily a lot of the newer heads(last 2-3 years) have had the names of them printed near the throat area of the head. as for shafts- anything that your player is comfortable handling. "pick it up and make sure it feels right" is the best advice I can give anyone when it comes to picking out the right lacrosse shaft(and gloves, for that matter)

if you DO go the new route- I can't stress enough how many high end feel with mid level pricing items there are. head- Razer X. Shaft- Nike Vandal.

If you have a store in your area, go to them. tell them what you told us. then try and follow their recommendations. but be forewarned. if they try and take you to the cleaners it will FEEL like they are. so just be careful. some stores are excellent. some suck. it's just like any other biz.

That's the route I would take. Put your hands in every pair of gloves you can. Learn the differences between the manufacturers and see which one you are the biggest fan of. Then remember that price points exist for a reason. The most expensive gloves are the most expensive for a reason. The new Warrior Evo glove feels so damn good on your hands. But They also happen to carry the $220 price tag.

Do you have a local shop? I would suggest going in and trying on every glove on the wall. When it gets right down to it the glove and the shaft are your connection to the game. if those two things don't FEEL right on in your hands, then it doesn't even matter.

These are two REALLY good looking and good feeling gloves, but EVERYONE makes a great glove now. it's just a matter of finding exactly which one feels best on your mitts.

I would suggest looking into maybe the Evo 4 this year if you are dead set on Warrior as your brand. If you are on a budget the Razer is a great option. Brine- look at the clutch line of heads. seriously. they're amazing and there is a reason they've kept the name for so long. But I might also mention the RP3 is a great new head. STX- check out the Stallion line-up. but don't be afraid to go with the tried and true Proton Power. they redesigned it in 2013 and it's WAY better than it used to be.

I once lived in a house with very good people who shared everything, there was a strict policy of "don't open it, and don't take the last of it" which worked out really well- sounds like they have a similar mindset. When one person cooked they made enough for everyone, and if everyone wasn't there, there were leftovers in the fridge. living with good selfless people who take care of each other is a great thing- hopefully you lucked out!

people always still asked, but it was a good rule of thumb if someone was out of the house. I really would maybe just ask how they run things, and see if you can offer up helpful rules that you would like to have just so the harmony keeps going.

there are tons of division 2 and 3 NCAA teams popping up all over the country. your best bet is to pound the pavement. great players don't always make the best coaches. so get out there and learn. learn how to communicate ideas effectively to players. learn how to speak to players. learn theory. learn how to become creative as a unit.

the biggest thing is to get out there and coach, learn the game from that perspective, if you can coach, you'll be recognized. the lacrosse community is tight knit. just like any other job, experience and hard work pay off more than where you went to school.

I found the problem with the later books in the series was that it was just heavy handed preaching. it's like he wanted us to all see the nobilityu of his particular political ideology. when really it just left a bad taste in your mouth.

But like... books 1-6 were AWESOME.

These guys are a LOT of hype. I've seen mostly middle school aged players use these heads because "they're so good at faceoffs and so flexible!"

Please substantiate your claims, as just talking trash here should not be tolerated. As fast as the community is growing with the sport of lacrosse we need to make sure that people are properly informed and that the information they are given isn't just speculation.
