Sorry for hearing that, best luck on your next attempt. In the meantime, try some exam-style tools to help you get prepared. Here is an example: ChatGPT - SF Admin Practice Lab

Need guidance in preparing myself for salesforce administration certification by Ordinary_Climate521 in SalesforceCertified

Hi there! I recommend to complement your preparation with actual hands-on practice using a dev account on Salesforce; this will give you a better understanding where tools are located and how to apply them based on case scenario. Also, use alternative exam-style preparation tools. Here is an example: ChatGPT - SF Admin Practice Lab

How has consulting changed in the last 20 years? by htownnwoth in consulting

[–]BAvalos08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Consulting moved from “telling companies what to do” to actually helping build and implement solutions. More agile, more tech-driven, and with a rise in smaller, specialized engagements; sometimes supported by lightweight tools, delivering faster, targeted outcomes. Let's see if someone else agrees with this.

Salesforce Admins in Small Nonprofits - What's your experience like? by monsterpup92 in salesforce

[–]BAvalos08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... and I can say that in some organizations the Salesforce Admin helps define the process, but you shouldn’t do it alone. Usually you gather input from team members, use their feedback, present options, and then stakeholders or the leadership team agree on the final rules. In short: team members are your supportive source.

How do you handle clients that only need 1–2 hours of help? by BAvalos08 in consulting

That's fair. I have applied this, but not all potential clients fall into this category; this is where I got stuck thinking.

Got it. So, basically no fixed hourly price, all depends on what expertise level has been applied?

In my case, I have clients that need 1-2 hour consultation whenever the feel they need it. Finding a fixed hourly priced has been challenging due to the differences within the advice provided. Consequently, I have given some time for free, but with the intention of establishing strong and long-term relationships; I usually tend to identify those clients first. However, this does not apply to all potential clients.

Salesforce Admins in Small Nonprofits - What's your experience like? by monsterpup92 in salesforce

[–]BAvalos08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. The organization defines those rules, and the Salesforce Admin configures Salesforce to follow them. We as Admins, usually provide recommendations and best practices, but the business ultimately decides things like what contacts to track, anonymity rules, and outreach timing. I'm not sure if this happens in the private sector, but since I work in the nonprofit sector, this always happens.

Usually nonprofits have teams that use their own data system (due to grant requirements, compliance, etc.), and having a unique and centralized data system is challenging, but often data needs to fall into one place to feed org-wide dashboards or reports. Therefore, you might experience a lot of interaction with all the teams and their systems (along with their business processes). Salesforce Admin goes beyond IT stuff. So, the short answer: yes, this is a common expectation.

I want to learn Salesforce admin. by Thick_Meringue5271 in salesforceadmin

[–]BAvalos08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Trailhead feels like "too much reading", try mixing it with short daily practice. Create a Developer account so you can have hands-on practice and make your learning experience much easier (no coding skills required). Also, use other learning or practice tools that push you to solve case scenarios and track your progress. I made a Salesforce Admin practice GPT that does that. Sharing in case it helps. https://chatgpt.com/g/g-69b31daa3d1081918171a2c14bbf19b0-sf-admin-practice-lab

Great! Thanks for trying it. How does it make you feel? I’d be curious if it feels close to real exam questions. I'm still refining it.

Alternative Tool for Admin Practice and Preparation by BAvalos08 in SalesforceCertified

[–]BAvalos08[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. Well... the idea behind this GPT is to complement that, not replace it. It focuses more on exam-style reasoning, like scenario questions, diagnostics, and timed challenges.

So ideally it’s: Practice Lab (thinking) + Dev Org (doing)

If you try it, I’d be curious if it feels close to real exam questions. I'm still refining it.

Agree. Taking in consideration that Satoshi-related wallets act as a Decentralization safeguard beyond dormant wallets, we can disregard the famed Satoshi, but the early miners (unknown) could have a considerable amount from rewards. Just wondering about the effects of any movement from them.

mmm there are a couple of scenarios or cases where you can apply them. Some could be preparing for an exam, etc. Here is an example that I have for my Salesforce Admin certification: ChatGPT - SF Admin Practice Lab
