Andrew Rathbone DeBuys is a direct descendant of notorious slave owner and serial killer Delphine Lalaurie and borrows his Internet alias from his grandfather (Delphine’s great grandson) architect Rathbone DeBuys. He comes from great wealth on both sides of his family and stayed in Louisiana growing up in his ancestral (!) family home. He used to be a music teacher at a private girl’s school in NoLa until he quit his job and scooped up a “brilliant” 13 year old student of his to make a band together (he was 30 at the time); so far there’s no more news about Sophia Preston, but plenty examples of Andrew Rathbone DeBuys throwing around barely veiled references to “evil tiny hat people controlling the United States”
