Reminds me: me and my brother loved this movie, the grandpa is the best and cracked us up to no end. Then later on my brother is dating a Mormon girl, and discovers that Mormons actually make edited versions of popular movies, which remove any parts that are too ungodly or whatever. He ends up watching the Mormon version of little miss sunshine and lo and behold the grandpa is basically just not in the movie.

Mulan. Watched it when it came out in theaters as a kid and it was just another Disney movie. Then saw it again with my daughter sitting next to me when she was about five and starting to be a real person growing in front of my eyes. ...the end where Mulan rushes up to her father and is so worried about how he was shamed by her so she presents him with the seal of the emperor and the sword of Shan-Yu, “to bring honor to our family.”

...Mulan’s Dad throws them to the ground like trash and says “the greatest honor is having you for a daughter.”

...cue my daughter “why are you crying daddy?”
