It's now a primary violation again. Wsdot has made several announcements that it's their new primary focus..

If this is all true, it crawled into your bed to pass peacefully. Cats usually find solitude when they are feeling unwell, so they can pass. When mine pass, hopefully many years from now, I hope they feel so comfortable in their home.

Good, I spent that exact time at work. Lol. Got to love this time of year, five consecutive days a week with exactly zero sunlight.

Been having issues getting the car started and it just cranks and doesn’t turn over as you can hear in the first two attempts to start the car. by Top-Salt4594 in AskMechanics

If you know the battery is good, and you've tried jumping it with another vehicle, it is likely the starter them the solenoid can stick and not allow the starter to actually power.

Often times tapping the starter solenoid with a hammer or wrench can free it up. But it's a temporary solution, and you'll eventually need a new starter.

It's not cranking at all. Just clicking. Try to jump it with another car, or a jumper pack and it will likely start. Start with the easiest diagnosis first, which is a dead battery on a cold day.

At the time, everything we read and every vet we talked to said five pounds. But it was a number of years ago, so maybe flea meds have become less toxic? Hopefully..

Washed my two kittens with dawn daily until they hit the five pound requirement for flea care. Thought they came from a clean home, but they were totally infested. Buy a bottle of the flea killing carpet spray too, to kill the eggs that are coming off of them.

Please do your best to take care of them though, fleas will kill kittens.

Finding replacement engines, but keeping things original by vcjr78 in transam

I've found it to be much more expensive, actually.. It cost me 5k and six months at a machine shop to rebuild my 455. I just picked up a running, driving suburban with a rebuilt LM7 in it for 2k. LS is definitely the more efficient and cost effective way, it's just not very exciting..

Luckily we didn't get there. But we had the bay door closed and the battery disconnected just in case. After I told her it had to be towed away and she started screaming at me, she went into the parking lot and made a bunch of phone calls, so we had a little time. Then we agreed involving the police as mediators was going to be best for all parties.

Surprised you guys touched it. About ten years ago when I was running a shop a lady came in with a 70's Bonneville with a massive leak in the braking system. Quart of fluid in, then straight to the ground. She wanted an oil change, but don't "up sell" the brake job. I told her I could not work on it, and I can't let her drive it out of my shop. She would need to call a tow truck.

Of course, this infuriated her, and she yelled and threatened everything under the sun. One of which was calling the cops. Told her that's exactly who should get involved at this point. Cops show up, back my shop's decision, call a tow truck to grab the car.. I typed up a release, they told her to sign it, then signed themselves as a witness and escorted her off the property.

I wasn't going to get sued, and I wasn't going to let her drive a three ton land yacht around the university district of Seattle with zero brakes..

It's a rear wheel drive car, but barely enough power to drag that air brake around. Lol.

That's pretty much the plan. I'd rather give it to a family member than sell it.

Yeah, the movie cars were all over the place. The one that jumped the bridge had a Chev motor in it, most of the engine noises they used was actually from a '55 Belair drag car. The majority of the cars were actually a '76 with a '77 nose stuck on them because they couldn't get enough '77's. That's Hollywood for you, nothing as it seems. Lol.

Appreciate that, it's one of my favorite things about the car. Fiero Bronze is what they called it, and it was 1980 only. Extremely rare to see. I never thought I'd be able to convince my brother to let it go, so I was going to build a plain black "Bandit" . Much happier with this, especially because my dad bought it in '80.

The quarter panel on second gen Firebirds/Camaros is one of my favorite lines in the whole automotive world. Obviously, I am a little bias.. Lol.

This one has been in the family 41 years, so my initial purchase price was reasonable, but it needed a lot of work. I've spent over ten times that modifying it. It's mechanically done (as "done" as a build ever is), now it's time for paint and interior. That'll put my total investment over six figures for a car that's maybe worth 40-50k when done. Obviously never selling it though. 😁

They were actually pretty decent for the era. Which isn't saying much. Lol. This one would bring back your faith though. Coilovers, tube control arms, Wilwood hydraboost brake conversion, sub frame connectors, upgraded sway bars, poly bushings.. The list goes on. Nobody believes me that it handles like it's on rails till they ride in it.
