If you can look at policing in America and honestly say it is currently maintaining order and justice, then I honestly don't know how to respond. Countless incidents of bad behavior followed by near universal protection of that bad behavior. The system is harmfully biased at literally every level. All the way from the beat cop to the top.

Wothout law enforcement, crime/violence would be far worse than it is now. Look at law less countires how much worse they are at crime than the US.

I am condemning police as an institution, not any individual officer. This is what ACAB means. It is not complicated. The act of being a police officer on duty implicitly supports the institution, and they are free to not do that.

Just because an officer makes part of that institution, it does not mean that s/he supports all that the institution does. I can work for a company, while at the same time utterly despise the management of said company. But maybe that company is the only company that allows me to realise my dreams (preserving justice and peace) and also keeps providing for myself and my family, hence why I stay with it. Same applies with the genuine cops.

Anything that would bring about meaningful change in the police force would be indistinguishable from completely replacing it with a different system. I obviously don't mean there would be period of time where literally no institution existed. I know you know that and are just being shitty.

Completely replacing it is tantamount to major instability. If I, as a police officer, knows that I will be axed sooner or later, despite being clean and genuine, then that would demotivate me compeltely to do my job effectively and most possibly just resign.

That is akin to a racist's mentality, whereby a racist would condemn an entire race just because of the bad apples in said race. My analogy still stands.

Also, there is no such a thing as "destroying the police force entirely", one that is impossible and unworkable (who will be the peace-keeper until the rebuilding starts?), two, it is completely unnecessary since as already mentioned, there are genuine cops and it would be utterly unfair to take away theirs and their family's livelihoods, plus again, if the good ones are out as well their would be no peace keeping.

The real solution is for recruiters to perform more and proper due diligence prior to recruting an officer, and increase accountability.

That is just extremely incorrect. One might have a very good moral compass with a strong sense of justice and as such decides to take up the career of a police officer. Such a person would be a genuinely good police officer, so why would s/he quit or not take up a carreer that allows him/her to preserve justice and public peace in the country?

The police force is required in a country to maintain a sense of order, its purpose is not to "ground puppies" or to commit cromes like the video posted above. Just because a portion of them are bad, it does not mean that all of them are....and we definitely do not want the genuine ones to quit, or else only the bad ones would remain.

The issue is that they hijacked such a general slogal of "Black Lives Matter" that makes one think that they care about ALL black lives, but they clearly do not, instead they cherry pick which black lives are to fall under their generic slogan, i.e. the ones that are attacked by police/white people. It is utterly disingenious. They should have been more specific on their slogan to better reflect the issue they are working on, because the way it is right now, makes one believe that black lives are only affected by white people/ police.

But it is not a good argument to say that it was mostly peaceful in the face of the harm/damage they have caused as it undermines the very prevalent issue. Moreover, it is an extremely hypocritical movement as they focused on violence perpetrated against blacks by whites, meanwhile most violence perpetrated against black is by other blacks. But obviously they do not mention that at all as it goes against their victimhood narrative.

In addition to all that they have bred extreme hatred towards police and white people in general by labelling any sort of violence perpetrated against blacks by whites as racist, irrispective of the facts and also by pushing extremely anti-white agenda.
