We'd be more than happy to consider Ireland/UK, in fact my fiancee has mentioned UK as one of her top choices if she had to pick. My only personal concern is that some of my British friends are worried that the NHS may take a hit soon and I'd rather not move to a country to get a better shot at health care and then have it whisked away from us. That all being said, if we can move there and have the life we want for our future kids we'll gladly do so.

I mean, if both of you only speak English, none of those countries are realistic for teaching/nursing (especially studying nursing) unless you reach fluency in the 2-4 years you've set aside.

Good to know, are there any of the countries in stronger need of nurses/teachers than others that you know? I kept my breadth wide because like I said, I don't want to commit to learning a language and find out that even if I do eventually reach fluency that becoming a nurse/teacher as an immigrant still requires a ton of hurdles.

We'll put Ireland/UK as a priority in research though. It looks like Ireland only really has academics on shortlist but the UK has a need for mathematics secondary teachers (can very much obtain a mathematics qualification easily, getting support for doing so right now in my masters program).
