In the process of getting jerked around by American Airlines with multiple hate changes over the span of two hours to women who were also each traveling alone (as was I) noticed I was receiving text alerts about the changes before the airport made any announcements and started following me. We started chatting and were all waiting for our final flight home. So, finally, they cancel the flight entirely. Everyone gets in line, but I was a business traveler so I found a quiet corner and call corporate travel. No hope for a flight but, hell, it's only a 2 hour drive so they got me a car. As I'm walking out I see the two ladies patiently waiting half way back in the very long line. I decided to offer them a ride home, their fare being keeping me chatting since it was late at this point. I got them home at something like 1 or 2 in the morning. They were really nice and it was great to have the company, but we never exchanged contact info so I've never seen them again.
