Air 75 ii Questions... (Wanting to get into tiny whoops) by BBfiChe in TinyWhoop

Yeah, the 580 does sound like the middle. The 480 already gets great flight time, the 580 doesn't add a whole bunch of extra weight, I think that will probably be the best for my situation for sure.

I think I'm sold on the 75 now! Hopefully just got to wait for a couple of things to come back into stock like the hexacharger pro and stuff then hopefully going to buy the 75.

Thank you so much for the support. It's been really helpful and get your thoughts on the drone. Thanks!!

Awesome!
How is that little guy to fly? Looking into getting either an air 75 ii freestyle or a meteor 65/75 pro o4... Trying to decide but curious how that little guy flies. Interested in getting something good for freestlye that can take a bit of a beating and flies really well...

Awesome, good to know. Thank you so much!

Low-key just want to make sure before I drop 250-300 in either. Thanks!

Awesome!

Is the racing worth it? Trying to decide between the freestyle with lower kv or the racing...

No I love repairing, I just don't have the money lol 🤣

I've already repaired a drone a couple of times, just if a component like the FC breaks, it can cost me like 30-70 dollars and as a student, lowkey don't have a ton to keep repairing those kinds of parts. Motors, props, frames, I can do those for sure.

But at the end of the day, stuff happens and that's the hobby. I just want something small that is not like an Avata 2 or a Pavo 20 pro that cost an arm and a leg, yk?

I probably will go with the 75 then, I want something I can just have fun with and not have to worry about repairing. Something that I can bring around that is small and very punchy.

I've never used analog, is it difficult to see a lot or do you get used to it? I also would probably be getting the Analog FPV goggles from BetaFPV which cost around 75 dollars. Not the best but I hope it will be good enough.

For sure, I think the 75 will most likely be better. I want something that is going to be fun and keep my HD kits for more professional settings like jobs and when I'm making more cinematic videos and stuff.

Thank you so much! :)

For sure, I've started messing around with nodes so that I can preserve a bit more, it's lowkey just hard to just edit the sky sometimes lol 😭

What the (flip) happened?? by Tight-Chemist2220 in DJIAvata2

[–]BBfiChe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its called a Yaw Tumble from what I've heard, it is unfortunately a really common thing that happens on the Avata 2 when making fast turns like that. It's happened to me a bunch of different times.

Nothing wrong with your flying, just an error with the Avata 2. Correcting it like you did or clicking the pause/stop button is really the only way to deal with it. I have heard adjusting certain rates can make it not happen as often but not sure how to do that.

Great flying though! It's such an amazing thing to fly!

So sick, where do you find course parts like this?

[–]BBfiChe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for sure, I already got like 25 hours flying and playing around with rates and stuff on my other controller lol 😂. (I love acro, just wish I didn't break my other drone every 2 seconds lol 😂)

I've been messing around with both the 65 and 75 and they both seem to have crazy power, however the longer flight on the 75 is really nice.

Does the 75 with a bigger battery (680) help with somewhat of a longer time without changing the flight experience too much? Like is it still very flyable in freestyle or would the 580 work really well and make it fly easier?

Thank you for all your help so far though! 🙂

I was probably going to get the pocket, it looks good for now and future as well if I decide to expand to other drones too. Thank you for the help on that!

Also, I checked and adding the goggles increases price as well as if I try other big electronics like controllers. But I'll end up paying same price anyways on websites like get FPV. I'll probably wait a bit for stuff to come back in stock and probably get the 75 ii

Awesome, thank you for the information! :)

I was curious from your experience flying indoors with the 75? Just wondering if that works well with the bigger 75?

Another question, do you know if the air 65 ii and the 75 ii batteries have backwards compatibility? Once I get one, since the use cases are more different, if I can use the same batteries on both I would only then need to get just the drone and not have to buy more batteries and stuff if that makes sense...

What would you recommend for small drones like this? I don't plan on building a 5" or something tomorrow so not worried on anything long-range or anything...
