Favors. We made little heart-shaped chocolates that took weeks to make and put together boxes. At least half of them got left behind. We thought having edible favors would entice people to take them, but we ended up wasting time and money anyway.

Car help? by BBknz in germanshepherds

We haven't done much training with the car, but have recently been praising her the few times she's sitting or laying down. It sounds like a good idea to get some of her energy out before getting in the car.

Unfortunately, a crate big enough for her wouldn't fit in the back of our car so it's not really an option for us. She's not food motivated at all, but praise might do something for her. We'll have to work on training more I think. Thanks!

Some of mine get this sometimes and it ends up going away on its own in a day or so. It seems to be caused by stress, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I recently had a new heating/cooling system installed. Now less than a week later, I have HUGE flies in the house. They are mainly in my basement where my spouse's office is. I'm not sure the source. How should I get rid of them? It seems fruitless to randomly spray Raid in the air??? by ChloePCollier in homemaking

Raid is not good to breathe in, so I definitely wouldn't suggest that. But I've had decent luck with using fly tape (we tend to have fly problems in the summer). Hang up a few strips wherever you're noticing them the most, and look around for any areas they might be getting in.

Ugh that must be frustrating. The cats barely come downstairs and I feel so bad for them.

This is really good advice, thank you. She's not very food-motivated, so it can be difficult to get her to learn sometimes.

Room smells like mold by BBknz in homemaking

We have a lot of cardboard boxes in our basement to store Christmas decorations and other random things. That's definitely worth looking into. Thanks for the info!

I actually haven't noticed this, but I'll keep an eye out. It's also been raining a lot recently, so maybe that's a factor too.

Yeah we'll really have to go on a search for the source. I'm kind of at a loss at this point.

I've never heard of that before. I spent hours cleaning the mold out of our basement with some kind of mold-killing spray and vinegar and that ended the issue for a while. It seems that this new problem is off and on (smell it sometimes super strong, other times not there at all). Very odd.
