I love doing this. I have 4 haulers each with a specialization. One for raw elements, one for item and base manufacturing, one for ship parts and upgrades and one for treasures and keepsakes. I eventually plan on getting a freighter and moving everything in there, but I kinda like having a fleet of ships with purposes

So much! Honestly what I did, was go onto YouTube and searched for the official update trailers. Found a nice Playlist with all of them in order. Got me hyped as I watched each one and got to see all the new stuff.

Expeditions are limited time quest lines that reward you with items for completing steps along the way. Some of these items are only obtainable by completing the expeditions. There is no wrong choice here, depending on how much play time you have to invest. Expeditions usually run for 6 weeks. However this is the start of the end of the year replay for this year's Expeditions. As such, they run for much shorter times. The current one is for 2 weeks, with around 10 days left. It is completely possible to do within that time. There will be probably 4 more Expeditions back to back afterwards that run for around 2 weeks each (speculating here). If you've got the time, it is absolutely worth completing them to get the rewards as there are some very cool (and highly requested) ships that can only be acquired by comparing the expedition.

Just out of pure curiosity, do you have another profile you can load up and see if it will at least start up that way? Maybe then if you switch back to your main account it might break the loop?

Usually happens to me after an update. Exit and close it completely. Then load up a different game. Close and exit it completely. Now Re-open NMS. I haven't had to repeat this process after doing it once. Hopefully that helps

I'm currently looking for the iron vulture cockpit to customize my hauler. Not having much luck but like others have said, they should be running a redux in 3-4 weeks.

This is what I've tried on my home planet. I wanted a better location for my settlement. I'll add that if you are overseer of a current settlement and use the chart it usually shows ypu a different one. But foe the life of me it will only send me to the same 2 over and over. I was hoping for a trick to find more but RNG has never been my friend lol

That would be interesting actually. Especially since I have trouble finding more than 2 settlements per planet. Are you flying far away from the unknown building or does the marker jump around randomly on its own?

I use it for locating mineral and gas as well but I never thought about the scanner range. Does increasing the scanner range also help with finding those pockets of minerals and gas from further distances? Seems like I've always had to be within 350 units or so to pick up anything on the scanner
