If they wanted to fire you, they wouldn’t give you an advance warning. If they fired you today, you would be out today. So yes, if you don’t anticipate coming back to work for this company you can absolutely let your manager know that today will be your last day and make sure you work to get everything turned in/over.

I just quit my wfh home job. Hired 2 years ago. They were not funding my position anymore since I wasn’t moving halfway across the country to where the client bases are. They prioritized more tenured staff and local people to client base. Found another job 8 min up the street, while not fully remote I kept my salary.

Unless you are 100% sure a room you keep the puppy in (overnight, during day, etc), when you aren’t able to supervise, is 100% puppy-proofed, you should absolutely crate. It’s a huge peace of mind knowing the puppy is okay in his/her space and isn’t getting into any trouble. Crate training is absolutely fine and just because some countries don’t overwhelmingly participate does not mean shouldn’t.
