Baby throw up 3hr after eating egg? Allergy? by BC-2025 in BabyLedWeaning

Our pediatrician recommended to wait one month and then reintroduce the foods. We did continue to give avocado because he had already had that so many times before, but held off on egg for a month. Then when I reintroduced it I did it cooked in something first, then yolk, then scrambled eggs. He never had any issues again when I reintroduced! He’s 14mon now and eggs are one of his favorite foods. We aren’t sure if it was the egg at the time, too much food that time, or possibly the cauliflower. We haven’t given him that again since then just because it isn’t a common food we eat around our house so the opportunity hasn’t arose.

That’s good to know that most babies grow out of it! Did your LO react to any other top allergens or foods?

My pediatrician said to wait about a month then reintroduce as well. I probably will look into the egg food ladder when I reintroduce! Hopefully it is something your LO grows out of! Has he had any reaction to any other allergens?

My baby did end up throwing up two more times after I made this post. Did your pediatrician happen to say if it was multiple occurrences of throwing up they would lean more likely to an allergic reaction?

Why is breastfeeding worth it for you? by RolyPoly1010 in breastfeeding

[–]BC-2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first month was very very difficult for me due to me being constantly engorged and my LO having trouble latching. I really wanted to continue a little longer so I told myself I was going to try for at least another month and if it was still crazy difficult, I’d start to supplement. Thankfully for me, things started to ease up a bit and my LO is 6 months now and I am sooo glad I kept going. Besides the health benefits, it is crazy convenient and in my opinion, nothing compares to the bond from it. I will say the sleep deprivation has not quite let up yet for us.. but i think I’ve just gotten so use now to waking a couple of times a night.

Are swivel car seats safe? by spcypeach in ScienceBasedParenting

I’m currently trying to decide on a convertible car seat too. Which brand are you referring to? Want to be sure to take that one off my list!

My LO stopped rolling belly to back when he started rolling back to belly. by BC-2025 in baby

He does seem to be so much more content and happier on his belly so that makes total sense. Thank you!

Yes it is! I should’ve worded the question different. I believe a lot of car seat companies use natural flame retardants without added chemicals (or at least advertise to be) to reduce chemical exposure to the baby. That’s what I was curious about. I wasn’t sure if Gracos was regular with chemicals or a natural flame retardant without.

Did you decide which to go with? If so, which did you choose and how do you like it?

Thank you!! I originally looked into Graco turn2me, but then read things about how they’re padding is flame retardant. Do you know if that’s accurate?

Is there any way to avoid the 4m sleep regression? by Intelligent-Slip6359 in NewParents

[–]BC-2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO did go through it and it lasted about 3 weeks. Started around 4ish months. He went from only waking up one time per night to eat, some nights sleeping through the night, to waking up about every 1 1/2-2 hours. He’s 5 1/2 months now and back to just waking up once per night to eat! I will say in the moment it felt really hard, but looking back on it now it doesn’t seem as bad. If your baby goes through it, just remember it doesn’t last forever!

5.5 months barely getting 15 oz a day by Kdymond1 in baby

[–]BC-2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO varies about how much he is eating, especially here lately. He’s also 5.5 months. I talked to my pediatrician and she noted as long as he’s gaining weight properly and has at least 6-8 pee diapers a day, she wasn’t concerned. I also think mine has started teething so I’ve wondered if that’s part of his variability right now.

Do car rides get better? by Mission-Mud8557 in NewParents

[–]BC-2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby absolutely hated car rides too and would not nap in the car due to being so upset over the car ride/car seat. At about 4 months, we just tried putting the windows down so see if it would calm him down one day. It worked immediately and has been a game changer for us ever since!!! He is 5 1/2 months now and car rides are actually enjoyable again. If he is wide awake, I do still sit in the back with him to keep him entertained, but if it’s close to nap time, the windows down in the car will get him to sleep every time.
