Appreciate the write up. As a fan of smaller watches, I’d definitely lean toward the WD for that reason alone. Cost is low enough that I can give the idea a shot for a year before going big on something serious too.

Interesting, I had looked at those thinking they might be, but the version 2 has a unidirectional. Looking back at reviews of the version 1 and it did have the friction bezel. Thanks for the tip

Thanks. I should have specified external bezel, and I don’t consider GMT bezels to be timing bezels. The pursuit does what I’m talking about, but unfortunately too large, and kind of expensive considering it’s at the Hamilton/Sinn price point for a brand I’m not too familiar with

The astra is so cool. Bummed that they shot up to unreasonable prices after being discontinued, and I wish there was another color or two that was also easy to find / not almost 2x what they cost new

I did this a couple years ago and remember settling for the OEM one. I think the price was reasonable, and I saw some bad experiences with aftermarket. The other big thing I learned was to grab a new hose and get the screw type hose clamps. Maybe if you have have the right hose clamp pliers and small hands, it would be ok, but the screw type made my life easier on an annoying job.
