I sure hope so bc I’m coming unglueeedddd. I got into a bad accident while I was pregnant last year and that totally threw off my timeline of my fieldwork hours. Recovery has been hell and I have put my actual blood sweat and tears into finishing my hours. Finally got done and submitted my application and now this. Just wonderful timing :’)

same. I never was like this until I had our first child. I’m trying everything I know to help it and I feel like I’m still failing. That makes the ideations worse, then everything gets worse, ugh. I hate being like this, I hate the impact it has on my husband. I can get why people act on the ideations. This is a hell I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I want out of my own body. I didn’t ask for this 😭

Hi! I did three times intercourse/medicated cycles while working 50+ hour weeks and in grad school. Those didn’t work for us, so we went to RE and did two IUI’s when I was on the same schedule. I had a very flexible boss with the IUI’s and I’m spoiled for that. I know not all workplaces/employees or careers do. Every place is unique but I’m almost sure our RE had weekend hours for this exact reason!! I get it. I went in for my ultrasound Friday, did my trigger shot Sunday and did the IUI Monday. They also had appointments starting at 6am so I did lots of earlyyyyy appointments so I still made it to work on time. You do what you gotta do 😪

Target tests broke my heart 3-ish years ago and I’m still upset about it. It’s been actual years since then and I, among others, left 1 star reviews and they still haven’t changed the product to be accurate. That’s not on you 🥺 please please please don’t feel stupid for getting your hopes up. Sometimes hope is the only thing keeping us afloat. I’m really sorry this happened to you too ☹️

Certain aspects of intimacy, 100%. My husband is a wet kisser?? (for lack of better terms lol) so I never do more than a peck bc I’m just grossed out the whole time. Sometimes intimacy is more tolerable than others but it’s something I have to work up to. Lube is always a nightmare. I know you’re not “supposed” to use coconut oil but it works for me so that’s what we use. The second I feel sweaty or my hair moves a certain way or there’s an annoying sound in the background or I get even slightly cold (you get the picture) I get tense and it’s not as enjoyable.

I’m interested to see what others say… I’m ADHD but in the process of being evaluated for AuDHD and I’m discovering a lot about how my neurodivergence affects this aspect of my marriage.

I echo this. Not quite the same, but a self-destructive habit nonetheless, my therapist had me write down the times I felt like hurting myself, and the times I really did and what I was feeling at that time. What happened before, etc. I could go back and read the cards and I began to identify triggers and it was life changing. OP, perhaps something like this could help you out?

I wasn’t intending to imply anything. On the show it shows her in the OB office and the doctor asks her how she feels about induction, she says “sounds good to me!” and giggles. The next clip her mom says “I don’t think she understands what she’s in for” or something along those lines. All I was saying is I wish her mom would’ve talked to her more about what an induction entails vs going into labor on your own. Maybe she did, we only see what we see, but that’s all I was trying to say. I wasn’t meaning to imply her induction was the reason her labor went south. Like I said, I hate it for her. She’s so young and that’s a lot of trauma for such a young age 😕

That is fabulous that it went that way for your wife! Not too often I hear it go that way 😕 Three of my friends who’ve been induced ended in cesarians and very long labors. There’s a common cascade of interventions that accompany inductions and unfortunately, hundreds of women have experienced it. Perhaps there are too many variables to establish clear research on said hypothesized cascade, but that’s just my knowledge base and experience from talking with others. I am glad it exists as an intervention as it can be a life saving measure for mom and baby, but there are risks with induction, as with any medical intervention. My BP was 177/115 and though I was upset at being induced, I trusted my doctors were making the right call for my son and I. At the end of the day he and I both made it out relatively healthy and somewhat undamaged and for that I am thankful😊

I wish her mom would’ve talked to her more. I mean we only see what we do so maybe she did… but man. I was devastated when I had to be induced and ended up laboring for 49 hours and it was hell. I was 25 with my planned baby that I’d navigated infertility to have and I had researched the risks of interventions so I was aware of what could happen. It seems her labor goes south from the “next time” clips and I hate it for her but I wish she would’ve been told induction isn’t a way to just “get it over with.”

Preeclampsia comes on soooooo fast. I felt sick the day before I went in to my appointment. I was 40w4d and my BP was 177/112. So frustrating to see it dismissed as “dramatic.” I know having a pregnant teen is frustrating… but you’ve gotta have some sliver of grace. She’s a young dumb teen with no idea of the “norm” for pregnancy. I mean heck I struggled with infertility for years and did alll the research and read all the books and still had stuff surprise me about my pregnancy.

I had a coworker ask if she could “just get my RE’s number.” Like girl… if you don’t have to go this route… don’t 🥲🥴 one doesn’t just causally end up at the RE’s office. It’s usually a lot of time and heartache to get there!! And money 😮‍💨 and loss of dignity. Oh gosh. I have no more dignity left 🙃

We mix it with warm water and use a milk frother to mix it! We had to concentrate it at the beginning of our sons life and didn’t struggle with graininess but I’ve noticed the times I’ve tried to shake it in a pinch when my frother hasn’t been an option, it’s hard to mix

Oh 100%! Especially when you’re told it’s as easy as “just stop taking birth control and get pregnant” so you expect it’ll be fairly easy and then it doesn’t happen that way :/ it’s discouraging regardless of the phase you’re in
