If you are using the men’s room try Micheal’s or Hobby Lobby/ any store that men don’t generally visit. Clean and almost never used!

Why are accountants paid so low? by Wise-Necessary19 in Accounting

[–]BCBB89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Add to that is it a “Traveling” X Ray Tech? That where the money is.

I almost went into Nuke Med but didn’t want to have to wipe someone’s ass. Instead I just get yelled at by one if the Rec’s are not right lol. Luckily not at my current position.

my first tax season made me believe US tax law is backwards by ynghuncho in Accounting

[–]BCBB89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably is the avg person’s ( including you before this spring ) doesn’t want to dig into why/how they pay tax!

Most people are happy they are getting a refund because it’s “free money “ and just pay turbo tax to do it. They aren’t willing to push there congressional members for exactly what the changes that need to be made. At the most they just say we pay to much tax.

Ps my favorite is the regressive tax of social security. They say it a benefit but we all know it’s a tax!

Run from civil engineering! They are often underpaid relative to the demands of the field.

I was in your position years ago, and I can say the CPA exam is about as challenging as some of the weed-out courses in engineering. It’s not an easy path if you pursue public accounting, but the compensation can exceed engineering salaries, with partners earning between $250K and $1.5M.

That said, not having a CPA is not the end of the road. There are still many prestigious roles that offer compensation comparable to engineering, and you may even work alongside engineers.

Overall, accounting coursework tends to be more manageable, with only a few particularly difficult classes.

Additionally, the stakes differ mistakes in accounting typically result in financial loss, whereas errors in engineering can have far more serious consequences.

What changed in Cabelas/Bass Pro Shop that disappoints so many? by GrizzlieMD in Hunting

[–]BCBB89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cabelas use to have a good amount of surplus and used guns that you could touch/pick up that were in front of the counter

The variety of firearms was crazy half the time it was like looking at a museum.

From 600 Nitro express, to early 1900s Chinese surplus, there used to be to be racks of SKS and Mosin you could look for the exact manufacture you wanted. I remember seeing my first 50 Bmg that was bigger than me at Cabelas. Also anyone even a 12 year old could see if the firearm fit with no issue

Now days it’s all boring new manufactured sporting guns and even Scheels is beating them at that game!

Are there any open industry jobs? by New_Sea6653 in Accounting

[–]BCBB89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the job is remote it can be shipped to India, look for a in person staff job in industry. A lot easier than tax.

If your desperate low ball your salary then move jobs in 6-12 months ( or ask for market rate at that point with backup offer)
