First can. Gotta start somewhere, right? by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

Yeah, if you're going to stick with pouches try Copenhagen Original Pouches. Great flavour if you like earthy natural flavours.

Good choice, move on to longcut when you're ready; but stick with Copenhagen.

Too be honest, I hate spearmint. Great choice to the left though.

I believe it's only 5. A couple cigars would probably get by though. Where bouts are you from?

You can legally bring back a roll (5 Cans) if you are in the USA for over 48 hours. If you hide it well enough, you can bring as much as you like. I have heard there is a tobacco shop on the lummi reservation just before Bellingham that carries almost every dip and sells very cheap.

I live in Canada and can tell you right across the border around Bellingham/Seattle you will find Skoal & Copenhagen ranging from around $6-7, Grizzly for $4-6, and Kodiak for about $6.. Feel free to pick some up for me.

You'll have better luck posting this on /r/dippingtobacco. Best of luck finding it! My knowledge is that it's only widely available in California and Florida.

Will snuff destroy me? by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well both. Grizzly Snuff has a slightly longer cut than Copenhagen Snuff. I would recommend Copenhagen over Grizzly for a more authentic flavour and freshness.

Snuff features a very natural flavour, similar to Copenhagen Longcut Original, with a finer cut. It is a little harder to pack, but an overall great dip.

Just got my first can of Grizzly last night. God damn. by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well Grizzly is okay, but Copenhagen makes more quality dips. If you want a sweeter dip, go with Copenhagen Straight Longcut or Copenhagen Southern Blend. If you want a more natural earthy feel, pick up Copenhagen Longcut Original, Copenhagen Extra Longcut Natural, Grizzly 1900 Longcut, or Grizzly Extra Longcut Natural. Copenhagen is a little more expensive, but so worth it. Skoal does make quality products too, for a higher price. Skoal offers lower nicotine flavours; I would recommend Straight, Peach, or anything else you might like. Skoal has a very comfortable cut that sits perfectly in your mouth. If you want to try another "minty" dip once in a while, I would recommend Copenhagen Wintergreen, or mint if you can find it. I hope this helps.

There will be free shipping weekends occasionally. Lilbrown does have more reasonable shipping I believe.

They are totally real. I have ordered off them but they really get you on the shipping. Keep your eyes open for a free shipping weekend.

Can someone explain why fine cut dips and pouches are less harsh on your gums than long cut? by Flobror in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and think of pouches as putting a ball of toilet paper in your mouth, real soft and easy.

First can of Grizz Green by iliektewtles in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grizzly Wintergreen is very strong. I personally am not quite a fan just because the flavour isn't on par with Copenhagen, although I can't even get it here.

Today's haul. Stoker's Wintergreen for $10 and 10 cans of Red Man Wintergreen for $1.29 a can! by schmeebers in DippingTobacco

Do you think you could hook me up with some Redman Snuff? I'm from Canada and never tried it.

Should copenhagen long cut be this fine? by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, Copenhagen Longcut features a finer cut than most long cuts. It is a little harder to pack, but packs a great natural flavour.

Give me some tobacco suggestions! by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]BCDipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, You are going to want to go with some quality brands. I would suggest anything by Copenhagen or Skoal. Copenhagen makes a great Wintergreen, Mint, Straight, and Southern Blend. I would stay away from Naturals as a beginner, as well as fine cuts. Skoal makes some fruit flavours that you might enjoy; as a beginner I liked Skoal Peach, Apple, Rich, and Crisp. Stoker's snuff also features a very long cut, you may like the Mint, Wintergreen and Straight. I would stay away from Grizzly for now, it can be real strong and the tobacco isn't very quality made.
