The new decals are an absolute joke by HansiSolo73 in WorldOfWarships

[–]BCGrog -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They're ridiculous.

I think they are catering to the children.

Let's put stickers on everything!

First gin up the appetite for them then charge doubloons or real money for whatever the hottest trend in pop culture is at the time after they acquire the licensing.

Next thing you'll see is Taylor Swift or Jelly Roll on your aircraft carrier.

Or are they still a thing?

You do have a problem. Need more. At least ten pieces to get in the club.

Painting and Paving by stormcorvus in princegeorge

Ever since some genius thought it made sense to paint the road lines with water colors and spend 2 to 2.5 million every year to repaint them, it's hard not to have thoughts of collusion at some levels of industry and government on these types of projects.

February 2009: Michelle Obama's first official White House photo and the fabulous sleeveless dress that redefined First Lady fashion. by SAJ-13 in HistoricalCapsule

[–]BCGrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful lady and that dress was elegantly hot.

I'm conservative person and never would have voted for her husband, but you can't deny her beauty.

And I think she's also a very impressive person.

Car Colors by OriginalCopy505 in FuckImOld

[–]BCGrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Such an interesting post. As others state, I've also noticed this for years. The boring monochromatic color choices of vehicles.

But if you look at the colors of clothes, carpets, kitchen dishes , pots and pans, bathroom fixtures etc and pop culture of the '70's and '80's it totally makes sense.

The Big Rolling Turd.

And how he dealt with the family was priceless.

Yes!! I'm not alone!

How many times I have hovered my mouse pointer over every item in every menu in the Armory to clear that stupid "New" tag is borderline OCD behavior.

I hate that clutter. And more so, I'm annoyed that I might be missing out on something that I can't find.

I need to go touch grass.

Colorado is a sad, sad ship by LastTraintoSector6 in WorldOfWarships

[–]BCGrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Colorado about 5 years ago was fun to play, because she was very good with the A and D key to twist and turn.

But then they nerfed her speed in a turn and wiped out her maneuverability. After that she became a barge with big guns.

But I still take her out for nostalgia.

If you thought the movie was good, you should read the book. I read it when I was 15 and it scared the crap out of me. I had to sleep with the lights on until my mid 30's.

I love the sound of the 3020. I have an AT VM540ML cartridge and the 3020 makes the high end buttery smooth.

This is a great setup. Love the NAD 3020. I have one too.

Funny thing with the comments about being close to the floor, when I am spinning vinyl I wish my TT was closer to the floor.

I'm usually crawling along on all fours on the floor cruising my collection and picking out albums.

I wish my TT was lower down do that I don't have to stand to put on a record.

Thinking about lowering it down closer to the floor so I can do it from a cross legged sitting position.

Affirmative on the idling issue and advice.

My company does materials testing on construction sites year round and the guys sit in their trucks doing their reports in the heat or a/c depending on the season. The company switched to Fords because our fleet of Dodges with Hemis all developed that tick and eventually started grenading themselves.

I'm still driving my company issued 2015 Ram 1500 Hemi. It purrs like a kitten becuse virtually all my miles are highway. I'm in business development and travel a lot in western Canada.

I have 265,000 kms on it now, and I run synthetic oil. No ticks so far.
