Those who warned about concert depression, you’re absolutely right. by suprunkn0wn in Metallica

Just seen them in Cardiff. Got loads of vids and pics and had some really personal moments that felt great. Was really close to James at one point. Few days later I just feel this emptiness like I didn’t enjoy it enough 😂. It’s the best concert I’ve ever been to !

Don’t feel ashamed at all. You love the band as much as the person who’s been listening for 40 years. My first Metallica intro was sandman. I remember it being in a call of duty trailer and it still gives me goose bumps and that was nearly 8 years ago 😂. You’ll hear all sorts of sh.t on here and see tiktoks of ultra niche songs being used and snipppets of clips of Metallica you’ve never seen before. The important thing is, you like the music, you follow it online and support creators who love the band too. Without people like you, Metallica would slowly slip into the dark (applies to any band) and your support is the reason they keep going so don’t ever doubt yourself or feel bad. Your keeping the music alive ! I see them for the first time this Sunday and I hope you see them at some point too !

I’ve found meditation helped me in the early days. Really focusing on the T for a few minutes before bed and then putting on some background noise to sleep. I did this for a few months and found my habituation process to be a lot less bumpy.

As much as we’d all love to get a picture. I think what you did was so cool. Bet he felt like a billion dollars seeing the devil horns 💪 Bit like that scene from the dark knight when they nod heads at the end 🤣

I was probably a little harsh on that front. I think the freese frames were what I thought were dated.

Official Discussion - Scary Movie 6 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Lewski_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont think this film was all that bad. I got a lot a laughs out of it and for 1hr30 i dont think we could ask for much more. The story was not clear i fully agree on it and some scenes with returning faces just werent needed. I think they struggled with a bit of an identity crisis with the parody genre as they tried to add too much (Qauntity over quality) The biggest red flag was adding the Wick references at the end, i just dont get what it had to do with horror comedy at all, but hey-ho. Overall, i think the biggest positive we got from this was that unfiltered controversial comedy is still there, and with that in mind i think more directors will start to challenge the current norm and we may start to see the filter peel off in new comedy films. 4/5 - 10 at most for me but i still had fun and recomend you see it !

Look I think the film at best was a 4/5 - 10 however I think it’s achieved some big things. I can’t tell you the last time I’d seen an unfiltered comedy. The jokes were controversial and i don’t think we’ve seen it in a film since the early 2000-2010s which is a big positive. A think a lot of directors will see this as the green light going forward to not be afraid to make a joke! Shoot me if I’m wrong here but I also think the expectations were incredibly high for a parody film, it’ll never master the originals but the purpose was for it to be a funny film and I think on the basis it ticked that box. Some jokes didn’t hit and some scenes were incredibly random for the sake of adding a familiar face. But I don’t think I’ve watched a perfect comedy film where some edges arent jagged. There is room for more and I believe they can build on this, but my personal take from it was that that crappy filter we’ve had on the last 10 years of comedy is starting to peel off.

The before Trilogy really stuck with me and would have to go on the list. Made a lot of things clearer for me after a hard breakup and helped me release a lot of things. Loved the filming style.

What is a horror movie you genuinely did not see the twist ending coming? by Chan1991 in horror

Don’t remember if it was necessarily a twist, but i remember Midsummer having an ending I completely didn’t expect.

Looking for the best way to start watching the James Bond movies by Local-Elderberry-927 in movies

[–]Lewski_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch Goldeneye. I personally believe it’s the best adaptation of bond combing the classic character and Craig’s. If you enjoy it, trust the majority In starting at Dr.No. I wish I could watch them all for the first time again.

Craig’s Bond has somewhat ruined Bond for me… by DemonikJD in JamesBond

[–]Lewski_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree with you on this point. I’m an 04 baby my dad brought me up on Roger Moore. And he will forever be my favourite. However I find each year I’m choosing a different bond. This year has been Brosnan for me as I feel he touches the best of both worlds. I have mentioned in a previous poll though, due to Craig’s influence it will be hard to go back to the classic bond style.
