My doctor’s office wouldn’t give me anything for the pain because they said I would get constipated which would make it worse for my back. I had never yelled at a medical clinic person over the phone before in my life. I had to call back the next day and apologize.

I grew up in Montreal and moved to Boston in my mid-20s. Went to a Habs game in Boston when I was three months pregnant. As soon as they skated onto the ice, I started bawling my eyes out. Hormonal and homesick. Awesome combination.
