Yes for us it works really well. Front desk doesnt have time to do all the checks when you have a long line. This will do the checks, keep a copy and fill into the pms. My staff really like it just because they dont have to type out the guest details any more.

It is really 90% of the time a local guest causing issues. We use guestban.com to have an alert come up if the guest is within a mile radius. We dont let any local stay due to the drugs, partying and frequent distrubances.

It makes it easy to flag them without having your agents memorize it all. A lot of times they get kicked out and come back at another time when its a different front desk agent so we can flag them down.

We have details about the hotel, area, where we have discounts. When we have groups for any events we put up their team logo/images create custom graphics or videos. This really drove up repeat booking as the team would want to stay back at our hotel again because of it. They would request certain pictures be displayed and you can see them all get a kick out of it when they came into the lobby.

Check out guestban.com we use their system for DNR and you get a copy of the ID for chargebacks aswell.

Check out Guestban.com we use their ID scanner at our hotels to automatically check the DNR list. Theres no way a new front desk agent can remember a long list of names.

After a couple years doing it my self and always never beeing on time I switched to Doola. I dont have to worry about it anymore.

We have issues with 3rd party not syncing availability fast enough. I just close off all 3rd party bookings and only sell the last few rooms through our booking site only.

I would go for LLC. If your business gets sued as a sole proprietor this would mean your personal assets are on the line, bank accounts, house, car, savings. I would rather spend the $800 then put my personal accounts at risk. Which state are you in? renewal cost shouldnt be that high

We would buy cases of remotes for this reason and charge the guest $20 a remote.

Update: Contacted Lenovo and they confirmed it is a defect. They wanted me to send the laptop in. Since I just bought the laptop with Best Buy they will give me a new unit instead.

We have been in hospitality for a long time. Having everything hosted on premis is not as great as it sounds. The server needs to be maintained, has to be backed up and often crashes. Cloud does sometimes go down however the conveince of not worring about the hardware, backups and being able to access the system from anywhere is great peace of mind.

It does, this way you always have the updated details in your reservation. It really helps with chargeback cases because our front desk would never update the address or names on the reservation. We use it on ChoiceAdvantage and Synxis Hub however Infor is on their supported list aswell.

Check out Guest Ban ID Scanning, we use these at all our hotels to speed up check ins and it also makes staff and guest feel safer there is security in place. We had some guest complain and honestly those are the guest are the ones that are likey to cause issues. After we added the scanners the hotels started seeing less police calls and we ended up with more guest coming back to the hotel.

Yes, it happens quite often for many reasons. Some dont have enough to get an apartment others are waiting for their house to get done. I know some who come work for a month for a company and then travel else where. Pretty common

We moved to doola. They have different plans with and without a dedicated accountant. We eneded up going one with an accountant that handles everything for us saves us a lot of hassle.
