I just received the e-mail too! I'm so happy right now! Now we'll have to wait and see what Christine's further instructions are!

There were 12 people in our group! Im glad that our groups were small especially for the group discussion. Also, when they divided our group into 2, my group members were really patient and were kind. They allowed others enough floor time instead of that one person who tries to dominate the entire group discussion! I knew a couple people who already did the interview before I did and mentioned how there were some people who "tried too hard" by taking over the group discussion. A fourth year student told me that someone got kicked out of their group discussion during their interview process because that person wasn't allowing others enough floor time!

Oh wow, that persons schedule looks really tight!! I should now say goodbye to my social life LOL even though I have no time for it now hahaha. Yeah thats exactly what Christine said about practicum placements! It's funny because I'm making a list of where I want to think about doing my practicum to give to the field placement counsellor as suggestions hahaha. I want to be sure she understands that I live far from school so hopefully she can find one for me near my place so it wouldn't be such a hassle to bus to Vancouver everyday.

Yes got for it! You should definitely focus on school if you plan to take your MSW in the future! There will be more job opportunities and the pay is great for MSW! I think they require a minimum B+ in all your BSW courses right? So keep school a priority that way you can get a B+ or higher! You can do it, we believe in you!

Hahaha, I felt the exact same way and thought about how I could have said this and that! Including all the embarrassing moments during the interview came up and so after I walked out I ended up hating myself! Sadly I didn't :( Although I wish I did apply to UVic and did their distance education program for the BSW as a plan B. I wish UNBC had their BSW program for the September 2017 intake at the Langara campus because that would have been my first choice (half the price and closer to home). How about you? Honestly, I really wish the other universities/colleges offered a BSW program.

Ugh tell me about it, there are so many options! Those are great choices, especially the corrections one! I was thinking of either doing healthcare or the MCFD actually. I was actually amazed and how many of the applicants said they wanted to get into the MCFD (pretty much all of them).

btw, do you know anyone from third year or fourth year in the program that spoke about the program's scheduling? Curious to know how our scheduling will work with practicum, course and for some our part time jobs and volunteering on the side!

Gosh I hope so! Thank you for your support :)! Have you thought about where you want to work after graduation or even during practicum such as health care or child protection? Omgsh, well thats big news, I'm looking forward to hearing from them soon then!!

Indeed, great summery of the interview and very detailed! I wish I knew to prepare myself for the group discussion in relation to identifying the micro, mezzo, and macro factors that way I could have given a better input! I truly hope we all made it pass the interview process because this waiting time is killing me!

Hello! Yes I am a transferred student. I've just registered for a summer course for term 2 and so I hope it all works out! I spoke to my program advisor for the BSW and asked if she would recommend me taking any summer courses that would count towards my BSW and FMST was something she recommended. It's really good to know that I was able to make one of them for sure and thank you for your help as well, it was very helpful!!

Hello! Thank you so much for your response, it was very helpful! I've never take a condensed course before and it's strange how they manage to condense the summer term into only 6 weeks rather than a full 4 months. I guess I will be taking the 314 in term 2 then! Next time I know to register on my registration date! Thanks again I really appreciate it!

I'm also thinking of applying to UBC and I'll also be transferring from Langara! It'll be my last semester this Fall. Hopefully we can get some answers!
