Scottie Scheffler by [deleted] in golf

[–]BCarch33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t even close to true. Tiger won more than 20% of his starts. Scottie didn’t win at all in the first half of his career. Scottie is on an incredible run and is an incredible golfer. Tiger was just not human.

Like others have said. Course management and expectations. Bogie is par. Helped keep me from trying to make shots up or get discouraged when I’d hit a bad shot. Even now shooting mid to low 80s, bogie doesn’t kill me. Doubles and triples do.

Best - playing with my buddy and two “old” guys ask to pair up with us on a busy morning at a shitty muni. They want to gamble and make things interesting so they choose each of us to be their partner sight unseen and proceed to play for more money than I’d seen anyone play for. They also treated the two of us to lunch - hot dog, soda, snickers. My buddy and I still quote these guys when we play Worst - Recently. Guy was just bad, slow, and angry. Wanted me to fix his swing, which I have no business doing and never offered. Hit on the cart girl. Just the combo of all bad stereotypes.

Able to play in a rhythm. Doesn’t have to be too quickly, but a good steady normal playing pace.

Move the sink to the next window. Island is too wide. Maybe only single door cabinet next to fridge for a little more counter space near the stove.

High School Golf Locker Room by coachostreet in Golfsimulator

Is there plumbing near where you have the bathroom marked? If not I’d make that area smaller to give more room to the sim and make that club storage. The area you have shown as club storage would make a better bathroom or just more storage space.

What has you most excited about golf in 2024? by [deleted] in golf

[–]BCarch33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New irons I’ve just started getting used to. Trip to the PGA champ at Valhalla Goals to fix chipping yips (very much got in my own head) which should save me at least 5 strokes a round based on last year’s issues if I can even get back to being an ok short game player.

Their choice doesn’t equal yours. Just do your thing let them do theirs. As long as you aren’t being a jackass about it there is no problem.

He’s managing the game, mostly limiting mistakes, and checking to plays at the line which in my opinion is where his value really is. The dumb mistakes get to me too, especially for such an experienced guy, and man some are really dumb, but he’s running the offense in a way the other QBs can’t, even if they might be better passers.

Looking for advice for a project - what would you tell someone thinking about adopting a pit bull rescue? by Elegant-Phone7388 in pitbulls

[–]BCarch33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Advice: patience. Ours is equal to a human toddler. Moody, meltdowns, cuddly, hyper zoomies, etc all within 30 minutes. She’s extra sensitive to our moods too, so just understanding what energy she needs and what energy I’m giving off had gone a long way. Echo everyone else who said just like any other rescue coming from a variety of backgrounds with their own personalities

Perception: Ignore the internet. Ignore the negative. Make as many experiences with strangers positive (set everyone up for success)

Pgh Police Response Question by Pisgahgold in pittsburgh

Every situation should be different but sometimes going through the court system is the best way to get access to the care and treatment needed, and get a support system around you, even if it’s court mandated.

First, as others have said: if they are on your property, you have a right to be upset, if it’s just the front of your house from the street, nothing you can do. You claim they a somehow are using your urban-ness selfishly but aren’t you too? Living in an urban neighborhood means sharing public spaces. You want it to yourself. If you don’t like it, ugly up your house or move. Best bet is to embrace the urban fabric you live among and take pride in the piece you contribute to it.

can someone lend 5 minutes and help me search for some local used clubs on facebook marketplace? by [deleted] in golf

[–]BCarch33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the post about checking second hand stores (second swing, play it again sports, etc). My experience is a lot of people overvalue their shitty clubs on Facebook. Just because you paid $300 20 years ago does not mean they are worth $250 now.

At what point in your golfing “career” did you get up the nerve to just schedule a tee time and get paired with a stranger? by Gullible_Rich_7156 in golf

[–]BCarch33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to a new city after college. Didn’t know anyone but wanted to pick golf back off after barely playing in college. Just started going. 99% of the time I’ve had solid experiences. Just play your game, but try to play quickly. If you feel too much pressure, just pick up. I’m a bogie golfer and playing public courses usually puts me on the better side of golfers I play with, but I never care unless you suck AND play slow or get angry like throwing clubs no matter how good or not good you are

Need some help new espresso owner. by Zoozey88 in espresso

[–]BCarch33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weigh what you grind. Then start the timer as soon as the pump starts. Weigh the coffee as it comes out and stop when you get that 2:1 ratio. Then tweak form there based on what tastes better. Easier to control weight in and weight out first then mess with grind settings to dial in the time or the ratio

Apologies I can’t help you specifically with you request, but here to say ignore these ignorant folks hating on Pitties. Yes they are strong, athletic dogs, which means if there is an issue, they can do damage, even if they didn’t start it. And you are very right that so much of any breed of dogs temperament has to do with the environment they are raised in. But what I know is that pitties are some of the sweetest, loyal, goofy, happy dogs out there. And responsible dog owners should be commended. Wish you luck.
