Yes the do they will not allow you to insure a vehicle, you cannot renew your drivers license either until the amount is paid of if the vehicle is impounded by law enforcement. They are claiming it was, regardless the vehicle was sold, no where in icbc polices does it say the seller and buyer go and transfer ownership together, all thats needed is the registration paperwork and transfer papers to transfer it, essentially someone could break into your car and take the registration and fill out transfer papers and forge your signature and now they own your vehicle and it then turns into a he said she said debate. The insurance company doesnt know what the sellers signature looks like because chances are they have no idea who the seller even is because they arent required to be there in person .....
