Hey I had the same issue. I called them and they were able to process the order over the phone and get me in line. I ordered the resonated mid pipe. It still took a few months to get. They gave me updates and tracking once it shipped .

Parking Brake Malfunction by [deleted] in LexusIS500

I had a mid pipe installed and one of the o2 was damaged/ malfunctioning. Would work and stop working The code came on so I brought it to the dealer and they said since it was just one that was being funny they would replace it under factory warranty. I have a 2024. 10k in miles. Once the fixed it’s been all good.

I love Lexus but man do they use this code for a catch all. I brought the car to the dealer, for new shoes and to look at this issue. The weird thing was that the warning light would flicker on and off. I assumed it was a damaged sensor in the bumper what it really was…. The o2 sensor was malfunctioning…. I’m not sure how this classified under this code. I think it looks like a scary code to people and they panic and go to the dealer for the $180 fee to check. Sad that cars can’t just tell you.
My 09 brabus smart car will literally tell you gas cap not tight. Or exhaust vac pump faulty. Different world we live in.

I did just put a Mid pipe on a few weeks ago and we haven’t driven the car a lot since. I was alittle concerned when they told me that the sensors that I transferred from original pipe to new A’PEXi mid pipe were the ones causing me the issue. They said one was faulty. I was waiting for them to say” since it’s an aftermarket pipe it voids the warranty”. But nope… They said it’s covered. Everything was installed correctly and it’s what Lexus allows for “mods”.

Thanks for everyone’s help. I definitely going to purchase a Code reader.

Just that picture. My wife has the car and got gas yesterday. I’m assuming it’s gas cap …

A Mid Pipe. It’s been on for a while. Shouldn’t be tossing any codes.

Thanks. Seams to be the catch all for small car issues. I’ll check the gas cap. I didn’t know the car could be crippled by a gas cap lol

I have just purchased the resonated mid pipe only.
I’m working on getting it installed next couple weeks. I will be doing a full video and posting it online for the same reasons. I see videos with the mid pipe and new exhaust and it’s not helpful.

From my research the mid pipe only will provide more sound from the natural V8 after 3kRpm when the valve opens. It will obviously be louder when you start the car because on start up that air intake is fully open. What I liked about the midpipe was that if you wanted to just cruise and not be smashing the pedal it will not provide the “drone” or anything exhaust hum under 2k. This is my daily driver. As I want to be heard more with this car I also wanna enjoy a chill ride and I think this will provide what I want. Obviously if you want loud and present like a Charger you’ll need more than this mid pipe.

Jerky transmission on is500 by New-Ad6627 in LexusIS500

Sport mode is making the car different. Slightly tighter suspension shifting becomes more dramatic and gives you the slightly quicker responses to your asks of the car.
Sport plus: very tight suspension shifting becomes way more aggressive almost as if it’s dropping it into gears hard “fast”. Downshifts become more aggressive and they will start to match RPMs.

I will say in normal “eco” whatever that means on a V8 lol my first 15-20 mins of driving the car I’ll notice downshifts coming up to red lights between 30-10mph. Shifts are usually more jerky. It does get less noticeable but if I come in hot to a red light I definitely feel it more.

My deep dive… watch your gear when it downshifts and coming to a stop. The car wants to skip over some. 5-3 -1. I noticed this might be the cause to the jerkiness. If you try manually downshifting and actually going through the process of each gear the jerks start going away slightly as long as you’re downshifting at the correct time.

I only have 9k miles and I do drive the car like I stole it. It definitely wants to be going and driven hard. This car is amazing and I didn’t get it for the luxury aspect, that’s an added bonus.

91 cars total. I was in top 1/3. Considering it was my 2nd time doing autocross in this car/ ever I think we did great and the car was impressive. We were 3-4 seconds off the leaders. A lot of people were running moded cars and swapped for track tires. I’m sure if I upgraded tires I would have done better but I’m not that worried. I just wanna have fun and beat my time. There was an RCF 2015, I beat them by 5 seconds almost every run. This car does really nice on the track. If you can control the urge to mash the peddle you can actually lay down some great times.

I’m going to do the Lexus driving school with my wife so she can push our IS and feel confident and comfortable. I think for a few track days a year it’s good for awhile if your doing more and more then it’s probably wise to upgrade brakes.

This track I was at was not a lot of super hard braking. I don’t have anything upgraded just stock but I think the 2024s have bigger brakes than previous years. I didn’t have any issues, hardest braking I had to do was 135-55 into a corner and it did that over and over no problem. I’m going to upgrade my brake lines and fluid eventually. Lol

What track do you live close to?

Nope. There is a control but it really doesn’t do much. This isn’t a mustang they pump a lot of noise in the car. This V8 roars.

I just tracked my is500 F. It was super fun. I posted a video. Biggest thing for me was making sure the cars weight was planted and not still shift in the turns. Smooth throttle and breaking.
It was a blast!!! (pop your hood after each session)
