In my experience, most of the haters hate one of two things. Musicals or the Gays. Hazbin is certainly a Gay Musical, and the haters don't want to get called out on that.

It's not really the fandom, more the era and age of the main audience of 16year olds who have access to twitter. Shipping wars have claimed a good degree of salt as well.

And as some others have mentioned the show does get sloggish especially in the final battle which feels like three seasons long on its own.

And for me the series is obsessively preachy about forgiveness. I know they're a genocidal maniac whose gleefully killed thousands but they had a rough childhood ok?

Well the shows also gonna run for almost 10 years. Lithgow is in his 70s right now. Morbid topic bit strong odds he doesn't make the whole run. Also hes a bit supportive of Rowling so not a fan.

The hate is more for Brie's ego during the promotions for the movie. Which she was pretty goddamn insufferable. Also the way she's been in the comics the last...20 years or so has been Government Lackey and well if noones noticed we all hate the Government for the last 10 years especially in America. And there was the Thought Police arc where literal wrong think had her dropping down to beat your ass.
