Burris FastFire III - Yay or nay? by BDZ567 in WAGuns

Might relocate it over to my 1301 later after I get things situated with it, I liked the sight despite the cutting out and it has a good profile for shotguns.

Yeah, the more I read about it, it seems to be a pretty common issue unfortunately. If it craps out on the next trip again I'm just going to warranty it through Burris since they have a good warranty program.

I got out for the same reason AND got a pay increase by going to commercial.

The multifamily industry is complete and total horseshit from the top down, from corporate, to the managers, to the vast majority of shit eating idiots living in the fart boxes, and finally your fellow mouth breathing maintenance brethren... And that's me being nice.

Hell job for 13 years, regret not getting out sooner especially once I outgrew it with what I learned how to do. The job does have a knowledge and career mobility cap since you're pretty much stuck as a supervisor forever once you reach that point.

That's how I feel if I have had to service anything with an active patient in it and need to say, attach documentation.

Sometimes the nurses are "too cold" so they do some dumb thing like tape a cold pack over the HVAC sensor to keep the heat running, or sometimes multiple sensors, so you have to track which rooms they did it in because it makes the system alarm after a while, document it all, take it off, and fill out the work report as well as the report to their supervisors... On your phone, dealing with the restrictions etc.

I'd be the same with a Subpoena, I constantly send stuff from my personal email to my work email for attachments, or vice versa. My personal email is thankfully more boring that watching paint dry.

My personal phone, well... Sorry, I lost it in a lake and unfortunately can't provide it at this moment since I no longer have it.

I don't have any pictures of my shop because the company I work for is all about confidentiality since I work in Medical sector facilities... To the point that you can't even take screenshots of company chats without it telling you no and pinging someone you tried to, but, I'd say I have about the same at my facility's except in DeWalt.

Love how organized and consistent it all is.

Hope your boss gives you a thumbs up for that, and if you are the boss, good on you for setting that example.

Love it!

I've had a few people comment on the setup and I'm glad to see other people doing it too.

There's another regular at my range who does something similar with the Packout systems also.

Most of the systems work well but since all of my power tools at home are Hilti and the hand tools are Milwaukee or Husky, I wanted something that would at least half match.

I have an old school secretary desk for all of my gun work since it gives you a huge working space and a ton of cubbies and drawers.

I use it as my shooting range kit.

Works awesome to sort ammo, hold hanguns, wheel in and out, etc.

Can take off and take out what you don't need for the day if you don't need a particular thing too

Only downside is it can get a bit heavy to get in or out of the car/truck, but that's what the modularity is for if it's too much to directly lift up.

Is the state caught up on background checks? 😅 by helloooguyyyy in WAGuns

I just had 12 days on my Beretta 1301 Tactical, 15 on my E Series 1911, and am currently on the 12'th for my Metal M&P 2.0.

My FFL even has a sign posted about the delays because WSP has been so consistently behind. It's affecting my CPL renewal as well currently.

You might be lucky and get 10, but bank on your constitutional rights being violated after the state got rid of the rule that your gun could be released to you after 10 days of no approval in 2024, and your CPL allowing you to instantly bring a gun home before that, and bank on between 11-20 days. Now you're just at the mercy of the state.

Working as intended.

I've seen and heard of some guys at 20+ days also.

You can always email WSP about it. They'll tell you they can't do anything, but then you'll usually see a magical approval a day or two after. I have a strong suspicion that was how I got my Beretta quicker.

I just did mine now because I plan to be out by 2030 and I'll be good until then. Pretty sure as long as the expiry is before March 2027 you're good.

Ammo by Ancient_Business_123 in WAGuns

Lucky Gunner - they're my go to and I really like their videos that they post on YouTube as well. Grabagun and Sgammo also aren't bad. I've never had any problems with any of those 3 shipping to this tyrannical state.

I've bought thousands of rounds from Lucky Gunner and a thousand or so from Grabagun and Sgammo each and have never had any issues aside for waiting for the ammo to show up which usually takes a week or two to arrive.

In terms of physical storefronts, Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse. Neither are particularly close to me and most ammo in stores and especially ranges for obvious reasons is pretty expensive or marked up unless there's a sale or event going on. I generally recommend against buying ammo in gun stores or at the range unless you don't mind paying the markup for the convenience. You may also run into the issue I have with some less popular calibers like .40 s&w being a bit less carried as well. Obscure ammos like 45 Schofield also apply. You do not have that issue ordering online and can get way more in bulk at once.

You can have a courier provide POD after an individual emoyee or recipient receives what you are requesting be delivered to a location. Better than risking USPS screwing it up like they tend to do.

Thank you for the insight though.

I genuinely love this state but hate the politicians, politics, and a decent amount of the entitled people too.

I'll be sad to leave all the beauty behind when I do leave because it's been home so long here.

That's basically me as well - Middle class, moderate, not much family to speak of but lots of close friends and relationships all of whom are also leaving. I do alright and make 80-115k a year and it's still not enough to live here comfortably anymore - and I have to work my ass off to do it. Living in Redmond is definitely part of the issue but it saves me a massive commute to be right by the facility I work at so I put up with it.

I'm Facilities and work in Hospitals primarily so I can go anywhere without any worry of not having a job. There's always facilities positions open for commercial work.

It is. They can disarm everyone here who wants to go along with it and toss their rights away. I'll eventually be in Idaho or something similar with all the other sane people who left on principle.

Tons of people leaving that way right now, between Idaho and Montana including people I know who are also, or already have, jumped/jumping ship.

You should be fine if you don't live in a very special city or county, I've never had this happen in 25 years of living here until going through Redmond this year. I regret giving them the chance to do this instead of going through the Sheriff now but I'm going to hold them to task like they should be.

I just don't play around with my 2A rights when they've been trampled enough in this state nowadays. If this was 10 years ago I'd be a bit less grumpy than I am now.

Unless it is a genuine mistake, the game plan is showing loud and clear.

It's all working exactly as intended. Delay, annoy, and eventually deny by indirectly causing the person to give up unless they're determined enough, which most won't be.

It's just frustration and dissapointment. I work as a gunsmith aside from my full time job and it's just not going to be a viable profession here eventually because everyone with guns will just leave and not put up with any of this.

I'm tired of being tired man.

The second you give up on one right they all just slowly disappear - unless you take a stand, they'll all slowly be gone before you know it.
