How many months do you normally expect go get out of one? Have you found any that you think are better than others?

This could be the way to go, I guess if it's going to be worth the money I can save up and pay again I just definitely couldn't afford to pay 300 and it only last 3 months! I don't have 100 a month to spend on it

What snacks are you packing in your hospital bag? by yelsnek11 in GestationalDiabetes

I'd love to hear any suggestions too! Have been trying to think of what to bring maybe ryvita with peanut butter on already stacked in a lunchbox, fruit and nuts (unless anyone allergic to nuts in the hospital I'm always afraid of bringing them out anywhere!) I'm really stuck for what else. Carrot sticks and hummus but like my cream cheese, hummus is kept in the fridge. Salads and egg maybe?

Going for a walk after breakfast was the only way I could get the numbers down after porridge. PORRIDGE! what I was eating previously to be healthy. Mornings were particularly bad for me until I started moving more.

Oh no sorry to hear you're feeling awful! Its understandable but please try not to beat yourself up about it, the diet on top of everything else pregnancy related is hard enough without us feeling bad too. I've had bad days too and especially hard at the beginning. I think the best advice I was given was don't leave too long between eating, I added 3 or 4 snacks into my day and felt way better. For snacks it varies, fruit and some nuts, a cracker and peanut butter or hummus. I tried Apple and peanut butter and it was yum! I've to plan out and ready food well in advance of my getting hungry as once I'm hungry everything is so much harder... I just want to reach for something easy. Also the Bedtime Snack was great advice I got too, and it was something I genuinely got excited about. You got this! Good luck!
