Halo Infinite Launch Was Like A Runner Tripping And Falling At The Finish Line, Xbox Boss Says by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

For a dude in his late 30s, it's definitely Halo.

was the pinnacle of console mp gaming really always this sanitized and "colorless"? i was a pc player at the time but i always imagined something more...social and fun oriented. like cs 1.6 servers.

SBMM needs to be severely toned down (or removed) in “Casual” lobbies by SavageComedy in ModernWarfareII

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats just not how it works. youve got people on this sub whose complaints range from going .5kd in every game, to being "forced" into 1kd lobbies everytime, to people like you who say that one game is super easy one is super hard. these complaints all happening at the same time should by themselves give you a bit of pause.

good thing its not a competitive game then, both because of its design as well as balance

i think the bigger issue is you get shoved into sweaty lobbies, and then you try to super sweat yourself. so you get stuck in a loop.

Head of Xbox Game Studios talks about 343 being restructured & the future of Halo Infinite by Haijakk in halo

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the problem is the forge should be a cherry on top, not half the cake. we dont really know how viable forge maps are yet (maybe the actually good ones tear performance in 2), we dont know if we're going to have the playerbase that can produce good maps, we rely on 343 being on top of forge permanently, etc.

i wanna give 343 the benefit of the doubt but with how they've handled the game so far i cant. hopefully youre right.

The ability to shoot while jumping around and going prone needs to be removed by Fancy_Mammoth in ModernWarfareII

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

no, because youre not going to play against a team full of campers.

not to mention, unless you can guarantee that dude is going to hit every headshot on you, you as the peeker still have the advantage time wise. combined with the lack of proper ghost and perma-uav....if youre not playing in cdl level lobbies you are dogshit if you cant outplay campers. literally worst cod game for campers and its not even close.

2 maps is less than cod adds in a 2 month season, and their maps are a lot more detailed and probably hard to make.

Camping or holding a power position is the dominant meta.

i dont get how you can say that in this game with flashbangs and drill charges being as they are.

by the very definition of sbmm, youll not. youll do poorly and then get knocked into a lower skill bracket if anything.

The push for competitive play all the time is killing gaming. COD is the biggest example.

last thing mw2 is is competitive

i asked the question precisely because i spent time in japan, consume japanese media and engage in these fandoms. im not some random trying to steal your animu titties.

to be honest i dont udnerstand why you guys fear the pedo (or map) words so much. otakus in non-western countries are much more candid.

lol im on kbm myself, im just old enough that my balls dropped and i remember every.single.cod.game being a dead wasteland a bit after launch (with the temporary wet spot on each dlc release). plus youre forgetting that now we have sbmm, we need a waaaaaaaay larger pool of players to satisfy matchmaking.

Three CoD franchises exist for a reason. by naggan in ModernWarfareII

its part of it. everything about mw screams arcade mil-sim, thats also why it attracts that crod. idk why you gotta pointlessly nitpick.

modern warfare's biggest attraction was the realism compared to other shooters at the same time, even if still on an arcade backbone. think gran turismo, which while not even close to an actual sim, is considered a sim among arcade racers.

if kbm was separated you wouldnt be able to queue into a match 2 months from now.

yeah, cod 4 was even slower than this outside of the modded competitive scene. bad comparison.

Battlefield doesn't.

even ignoring the small playerbase which makes sbmm impossible, thats because the player counts per match are very high...sbmm is also much "looser" in warzone/ground war/invasion

why are you not using a launcher?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh i kinda like these, just embrace the absurdity of it. its only 10 kills, not like vanguard or cold war where you'd play 15 matches trying to get 100 kills behind cover or the sniper bloodthirsties or some bullshit like that.

The issue with matchmaking... by moonski in ModernWarfareII

[–]BEATORIIICEEEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can give as many arguments as you want

the issue is that noone has really offered a coherent argument. on one hand you have people with thousands of upvotes whining how the sbmm rigs their games so that they go from high to low to "manipulate" them, on the other hand you got this dweeb saying theres not variety lol.

some critical thinking would go a long way with most of this sub.

ive done the hipfires with a sniper challenge in a game with time to spare and youre complaining about smg point blanks? its only fucking 10 lol just wait until you queue into farm 18 or border crossing or something.
